Peach Pit BBQ has been in this location in Winterville for four years, and I’m bummed I didn’t find out about them until now. Absolutely delicious, tender, and flavorful bbq. My husband and I both had the pork, but there’s also chicken, ribs, and brisket. Hubby had the large Sloppy Hawg sandwich plate, which is basically a lot of pulled pork already mixed with their sweet sauce. Messy and delicious. Our plates also came with Brunswick stew, coleslaw, and chips. I think I’ll skip the slaw and try the potato salad or corn on the cob next time or maybe just ask for a while quart of the stew. They have mild, sweet, hot, and chicken sauce, which are all vinegar based. I mixed the sweet and hot and didn’t think it was too sour at all. Absolutely get the special dessert of the day, especially if it’s banana pudding. Tastes just like the way nana made it – from scratch and in the oven. We left full after spending about $30. Not super busy, and there is ample parking. Owners were really friendly. I highly recommend trying it out.

Looking through some pictures from other folks, apparently you -can- get something that looks like Mac and cheese here, but on my one and only visit…. I would’ve rather been handed a cup of off-brand easymac than what we were served. It was just… Watery spiral noodles with the smallest suggestion of what might’ve been cheese.

Wasn’t impressed. Stopped in a few weeks ago for a bbq sandwich and mac&cheese. The sandwich was average but the mac&cheese was so bad I couldn’t even eat it, and I’m the type that doesn’t waste food. Even after trying to prop it up with salt/pepper and mixed in bits of my bbq, there was no helping it – Just undercooked hard noodles in a watery, zero flavor sauce. I’ve had a better cup of noodles from my microwave.

This is an awesome hole-in-the-wall BBQ place! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing! I have been twice now and have had the BBQ Pork sandwich plate both times. The only thing I can say negatively is that if you want the brisket you need to get there before Saturday.

Pork is good. Prices are eh. Stew is . Out of beans, can’t buy buns, not really a legit bbq place.

Pretty good selection other than just pork. Have brisket, ribs, & chicken. Sauces could be better, they lack originality as most of them taste the same, just with the exception of more ground pepper for the “hotter” sauces.

The very first and only time I’ve eaten here they severed me a piece of belt leather and call it brisket. This place is five min from my house total shame its awful. the Brunswick stew was awful! these other reviews are probably from people that feel sorry for this guy. NO not for my money!

I had it delivered, it was ice cold, Tasted horrible. It’s definitely not the kind of BBQ I’m use to eating.

Stopped in tonight for my first visit. I cleaned my plate. Brunswick stew was on point! BBQ sandwich was delicious (just missing my dill pickle slices). Coleslaw exceptional just like homemade (not too sweet- just right), price was great and service with a smile! This #DomesticDiva of #M2b Family Farm happily recommends this new mom & pop diner. Oh and I really enjoyed the Hot Spicy BBQ sauce #YUM
