This is a great little romantic Italian spot close to the Mayo Performing Arts Center. On a busy evening they were able to accommodate us. Live music provided the right ambiance for the evening. It’s always a great start when you are served a basket of freshly baked bread. So many restaurants have skimped out on this. Pasta was delicious! We were very pleased with the dishes. Great portion and good value for the money. We were able to bring our own wine (just bought it next door) which helps to save some money. Service was prompt. We had a fabulous time here. We would come back again.

This place couldn’t be more of a let down. My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and the only thing that was good was the bread and the venue itself. As soon as we entered we felt rushed and we came in with little over an hour before the designated closing time. Not to mention that we both ordered salmon that were undercooked. My boyfriend’s salmon was so undercooked that when it came back he had to send it back AGAIN. I ended up having to eat alone and we took our food to go because we had enough and we could even see the staff talking about us right in the open. Truly uncomfortable and a let down.

Celebrating the end of school year high school teacher style at Pavesi!. For me, it was a delicious spaghetti carbonara accompanied by a perfectly dressed garden salad and the best freshly baked bread and olive oil in town. A perfect ending to the 2021-22 school year! I noticed they’ve added to their outdoor decor with garden accents and covered outdoor seating with beautiful lighting. I’m looking forward to enjoying their live entertainment this summer on Fridays and Saturdays. Always a great time! Wonderful experience all around tonight!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. My husband and I were walking around town when we heard live music from this restaurant. That made us want to get some wine and sit down. We ordered two appetizers and an entree to share since we weren’t too hungry. The owner of this place had the audacity to come up to us and talk down to us for what we chose to order. Saying things like “you brought your own wine too” when in fact this place is BYOB. What did you want us to do? He was appalled that we didn’t order more and when my husband said it was because we weren’t too hungry the owner said “well then you should have kept walking past my restaurant”. We spent $100 at this restaurant for two people but that wasn’t enough? This completely ruined our night! I will say the chef came to speak to us after seeing what happened and he was very kind and understanding. As for the owner…I hope he never speaks to paying customers like that again.

We dropped by here without a reservation one hour before the Donny Osmond concert at the Mayo PAC. The staff were gracious and helpful giving us the very last table for two. We ordered two bowls of pasta; creamy penne vodka and garlicky pasta primavera. Both were very, very good renditions of these classic meals. The dishes were served with freshly baked bread and a couple of garlic knots. Yum. This makes me want to go back soon. See you there. (FYI-I have been going to this restaurant since it was Provesi and under different ownership years ago)

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The place is byob. The food is delicious and red sauce is delicious. The garlic knots in bread basket are a real treat. We had bruschetta , chicken parm, penne vodka and chocolate mousse.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I can give this restaurant more than 3 stars. Our waiter had an atrocious attitude and ruined my family and I’s entire experience there. He rarely checked on us, was rude the entire time, incredibly unhelpful, and again, had a terrible attitude. We asked a different waitress to give us his name and then when we actually asked him, he gave us an entirely different name. Not sure who was lying in this situation but I would assume that it was him. The owner of the restaurant was very kind and welcoming and so was one of the chefs who checked on us more than our actual waiter. Sad that he ruined this entire restaurants reputation.

Great restaurant, love the byob places and I have never had a bad meal here. Great ambience and great place for a post dinner walk in and around the nightlife of South Street and the green in Morristown.

***TLDR; I likely won’t come back because I wasn’t wowed by the food. I like Cafe Picasso in Somerville much better.***

My wife and I, along with my friend and his fiancé, had dinner at Pavesi last month. My wife and I had been raving about the restaurant to them for weeks, as our prior experiences have been top notch. This time however, I was very disappointed with Pavesi and I highly doubt that I will return.
