Paul’s Tavern Menu – Lake Como, NJ

Type : Bar & grill

Location : Lake Como, NJ

Paul’s Tavern has been owned and operated by the Heaney family since 1979 when the original bar and property was purchased from Sedan’s. The first of several expansions were done in 1987. In 1992 the outside Beer Garden was replaced with a traditional log cabin to accommodate the thriving Jersey Shore tourism and nightlife. In 1993 the adjacent house and property were purchased. The house was knocked down and the second cabin was built, including a kitchen which continues to serve light bar fare today. Behind this structure a tented Patio Bar was put in place, including spacious seating and flatscreen TVs for outdoor enjoyment. For more information, visit our website or give us a call today.

Longtime cabin-style venue providing light fare, plus live bands most weekends, in sizable digs. Based on 136 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.9 stars. Price $

The owner and his wife are very humble. Regardless of their position they are out there making sure all are being treated well. No complaints. And the best part, the bartenders are actually very nice.. my first time being there and boy I loved it. I come from way up north about 2hrs away. Unlike some other bars around the area which we tried visiting, this one in particular had no issues letting us in. I remember we tried one where they had like 10 police officers standing outside and overstaffed security crew that refused to let Latinos in to their establishment. It’s the one with the lights. It’s okay, I’m sure they had their preference in color and ethnicity. But not at Paul’s. We were welcomed and so was our business… thank you. Most grateful.

This past Sunday we a group of 5 stopped to listen to a good local band and have a drink or two. The free band was playing when we arrived and right away we started to dance and have a great time. A second after set break, the skin head security guard said we have to leave because they saw one of us come in with a drink. Not true!!!!!! I think they thought we were not going to buy any drinks and enjoy the free music. Again not true!!! Sad place! Sorry to say))))))

Love Paul’s. They cater to us older deadbeats with music starting at 6 pm! A lot of good cover bands playing on Fri and sat nights, including grateful dead, my favorite!

Service is very slow. 45 mins to an hour or more to get your food. They don’t do a free refills on drinks. You will pay 2 dollars for each soft drink. The food is moderately at best.

This is a dive. Charged me $14.00 for apple.pucker and vodka in a plastic cup. Did the blond girl behind the bar think she was.working in an upscale place…I called the owner and he said so what do u want me.to do. I could of bought 2 drinks for that much. You smell like grease when you leave. Food is bad. Never going to this dump again. Bad taste..don’t go

Place is a dump. Not the place to go for a Bloody Mary on a lazy afternoon. Maybe it is better at night when you cannot see and are intoxicated enough not to care. The drinks is so bad I left it there, not even close to tasting like anything other than cheap tomato juice and ice.
