Beautifully decorated country style. Small gift shop in the entrance. From aprons to jewelry and knives. The waitress could have been nicer but overall it’s a nice place to eat. The food is good and reasonably priced. And they serve breakfast all day.

My husband and I are huge fans of Chicken Fried Steak, we order them any chance we get, needless to say, we both ordered them. AMAZNG. Best chicken fried steak we’ve ever had. Portion was great and the gravy was awesome. Too bad we live 2 states away or we would be coming here all the time. I can’t speak for everything else on the menu, but if they put that much effort into my meal, I can’t imagine how delicious their other plates would be.Great service, knowledgeable staff and adequately priced. Must try!

We were seated right away and had drinks within moments. Server greeted us promptly and took our order. Food came quickly. Food was as good as any diner. Get in, get fed, and get on your way! My kind of place 🙂

The food and service is great. Breakfast and lunch. The drive up window is also really good food. Pretty much the whole menu is available at the drive-up window and it is fast. Support your local restaurants and people. Mmmm bacon.

Still sitting in the booth and wanted to make sure to write a review because this is one of the best places/breakfasts I’ve ever experienced. We were helped by no less than 4 different friendly staffers during our visit. The atmosphere really is like family. The food was…. Just wow. Fresh and tasty. 11/10, highly recommend!!

I got the lobster benedict & was severely disappointed. There were like two small pieces & that’s it. I would reccomend south pines benedict way more.

What a delicious breakfast! My waffle combo was absolutely the best with melted butter and warm syrup. The egg and bacon that came with it was cooked to perfection. The price and quality can’t be beat anywhere in Nevada County.The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. Thank You Paulette’s!

Exactly as it appears in the pics. And the employees are friendly and polite. Excellent American fare, big country-sized servings, and the best pie! They’ve got a big fire place, plenty of comfy booths, or bar stools if you gotta get to work. Comfort food, in a comfortable place! Been back many, many times. All the parking you need, even enough for motor homes and boats! Right across from a Best Western, a grocery store, pharmacy, and super easy freeway access. I really recommend it!

I hate to give such a low rating because the service was excellent, everyone was super friendly and helpful, but our food was lukewarm at best, cheese wasn’t melted at all and it was pretty mediocre. Our server said the kitchen was moving really fast that day, but I think if they had slowed down a little, our food would have at least been hot. Hopefully it’s just an off day, and others have a better experience.
