Wow…. Fresh Crispy, cool salad. I had a bone in ribeye ordered medium. It was PERFECT! More flavor and cooked to perfection better than any local steakhouse I’ve eaten at. My wife had lobster and shrimp. DELICIOUS!!

I like to try out local cuisine to support the community. The food was extremely disappointing especially considering the price. I had a georgia shrimp dinner with fries and slaw. The portion size was good, but the taste of the food was lacking in flavor. The service was sufficient. The cashiers were pleasant enough. I got a to go order and it was completed within 15 minutes as stated. I didn’t get much from the atmosphere other than it’s a little confusing from the door with no guidance coming into the place. Luckily I had been there before when it was another restaurant, so I knew where to look for the register. I think I was overcharged too now that I think about it.

Love this place! The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly! Roger and Paula always come out to check on everyone and make sure customers are satisfied. Paula’s has become a staple for our family’s “eat out” nights.

I’ve had several items from here which was really good however, overpriced in my opinion as my mom had several restaurants and we always tried to focus on our customers and keeping prices affordable. My friend was ask by the owner to purchase Cornish hens, which she did, 24 to be exact @ around $11.00 a double pack (2 hens/pack) and in return, her only request was 3 of the hens cooked ((peached glaze) and a small pan of dressing for Thanksgiving as she had guest arriving plus, the owner was going to be preparing them for the holidays she was told, she was also informed the week prior that her hens and dressing would be ready for pickup a day or so before Thanksgiving, when she went to pick up her order, she was informed they didn’t have her order and they had not cooked the hens or dressing, 3 months later they contact her stating her dressing was ready and in the freezer for her, it’s February, she requested this in November when she needed it for Thanksgiving dinner, this isn’t really acceptable as a business owner and a catering business IMHO! If we say we will have an item ready for you, then that person expects that item when promised not months later. I’ve notched they cooked the hens last month pricing at around $16.00 a plate, 1 hen and 2 side items which tells me, they have basically trippled their profit on 1 hen and that’s not a good way in making sure your customers are getting a great deal, it seems it’s about making money which I get it, but we as a society are struggling to make ends meet, paying for over priced food is basically everywhere however, this shouldn’t apply to our small town business owners, keep the cost down helping us all in the end, not jacking the prices up especially when your commitment to a prior customer, who was a regular and spent alot of money there, never had her order fulfilled! I did fail to mention, they did give my friend a $60.00 check, a little less than half of what she paid for the hens!

This relatively new restaurant is off to a good start and running wide open. They have delicious food and the service is excellent. I have not been a single time when one or both of the owners didn’t come out to chat and ask how we liked the food.

Wonderful little treat in Lyons, GA. Best chicken & squash I’ve had in years! Fried chicken is a local favorite and they run out quick. The plastic plates and low end utensils are quickly forgotten about with the amazing southern cooking and variety of foods most do not get a chance to enjoy in the corporate world.

Staff was outstanding unfortunately we did not enjoy our meal. My fried catfish were overly breaded in some batter concoction that had a burnt flavor and was overly greasy. The fish themselves weee extremely muddy tasting rather than the nice delicate flavor catfish are known for. Even though the crab legs broke and shucked easily the meat was very dry rather than nice and juicy as they should be. The sirloin was mostly gristle although cooked to a perfect medium rare. In addition the seasoning was overly heavy and unpleasant to the palate. The chicken Alfredo was average at best. Again the staff was amazing but we came for the food. At best mediocre dining which is unfortunate as the area needs more options for dining. Won’t be back.

So we heard about this new place in Lyons and finally decided to try it out, FIRST Off we noticed that EVERY VISIBLE EMPLOYEE GREETED YOU WITH A WARM SMILE, me and my boyfriend both ordered the steak and I’ve got to admit IT WAS PERFECTLY COOKED AND SEASONED, most of the time when I order medium well, I NEVER EVER GET IT!!! The food was freshly made to order and perfectly prepared as well, considering that my boyfriend and myself both got steak, the price was under what you would pay at J&Bs yet the steak at Paula’s was much much better than the actual steak house!!! Also, ordered a slice of layered chocolate cake and it was AMAZINGLY MOIST AND SO VERY DELICIOUS!!!! The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and the owner seems genuinely sweet!!! We will be going back to Paula’s and will also spread the word to my huge family as well!!! Continue to keep up the GREAT WORK!!!
