Today was our first time dining at Paula Deen’s. When we first entered we were not greeted by the host. He didn’t open his mouth. He just stood there & looked at us. So after a few moments my sister in law then told him how many were in our party. She said 4 adults & 1 child, then he sarcastically said 5 people!!

Restaurant in Branson. The food was delicious! We had the fried chicken and pot roast. **Keep in mind the food menu selection is limited and you can’t take any home with you.** The dessert can be taken to go.**

Sit down family meal with country cooking. There’s also a small store with Paula Deen inspired items and country decor. The food was absolutely amazing. I’m from the South, and it’s some of the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. We also had the fried catfish, cream potatoes, baked Mac n cheese, creamed corn, and green beans. All dishes are served to the table family style to share, and are served with garlic cheddar biscuits and include dessert. I can’t recommend this enough.

Food was tasty and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. One exception though…you cannot take ANY food (you bought and paid for) home with you. They don’t make this clear when you sit down to eat either. Very strange that I paid $30 for this food and they wouldn’t let me take the leftovers home with me. Mind you that this is NOT a buffet and you order off a menu. They threw all leftovers in the garbage. I did not ask for seconds of anything so I should have been allowed to keep the food I bought, but that wasn’t the case. They did however give me a piece of cake to take home with me because dessert was included with the meal. I didn’t want or ask for sweets and just wanted to keep the leftover vegetables I bought and paid for. So unfortunately I cannot give this restaurant a 5-star review because of their ridiculous and wasteful food leftover take-home policies. This counter intuitiveness will be their eventual downfall if they don’t smarten up and give people the food they paid for. Paula you should fire the idiot(s) that came up with this idea…even if its one of your sons, haha.

Beautiful place inside! The food was amazing! The bread that they bring out melts in your mouth. We had the meatloaf and ribs. Mac and cheese, Broccoli Casserole, fried okra(best I’ve ever had), and peach tea! Everything was delish! The store is so cute, and the cutest little lady working there helped me so much and told me stories about the products in there. If I didn’t know better, I would think she was Paula Dean herself.

First timers, and very impressed with the selection of entrees and side dishes. At PDFK, you choose either 2, 3 or 4 entrees and they come with biscuits and 4 sides. All served family style and ALL bottomless–including one dessert per person! Tonight we had catfish, meatloaf and the famous fried chicken. Selected sides were creamed potatoes, green beans, fried okra and collard greens–everything was amazing and our table dined sufficently!! Our server, Mike, was very attentive and our glasses stayed full as well as our plates! To top it off, we tried all the desserts and you can’t go wrong with any of the options! Highly recommend and would absolutely return!

I had high hopes for this place but my wife is an amazing southern cook. The food was good just not as good as real home cooking. My favorites were the fried chicken & catfish.

The Southern Fried Chicken was good, and so was the Chicken & Dumplings. But ironically I did have two dishes that were the BEST EVER of my life. The FRIED OKRA was truly the best I have ever had. Everyone loved the seasoning on it. The same goes for the BROCCOLI CASSEROLE, hands down another favorite. Nothing I had was bad, all good food. But when I come back, it will be for the Fried Okra and Broccoli Caseserole.

This was a first time visit to Paula Deen’s and learned it is a family style all you can eat restaurant. We really had a great time and will most definitely be back, but I think this is probably a better option for those with heartier appetites or WITHOUT kids. On a Friday for lunch it was $12 for kids (ages 6-12) and started at $20 for adults and went up from there depending on how many meat options you choose. The food was quite tasty (beef pot roast, bbq spare ribs, fried catfish, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes) but I guess we’re paying for the experience.

Only had to wait 15 minutes. Prices were pretty cheap. Food was amazing chicken was the juiciest I have ever had. Ribs were really tender. Green beans were amazing. Same with the potatoes. The Mac and cheese was not good. Texture was gritty and not really cheesy and the noodles a bit soft. The receptionist was very uninviting and could barely hear her. And the waiter barely checked on us and my drink was empty for awhile. And when I paid for the meal I forgot to move money over and it got declined and instead of being considerate and say it quietly he said it loudly with a bit of an additude which I did not appreciate. I didn’t feel that “family” feel but the food was excellent. Word of advice if you want to eat alot don’t eat the biscuit lol it’s so dense and good it really fills you up.
