Pau Hana Menu – Savage, MN

Type : Hawaiian restaurant

Location : Savage, MN

Aloha! Welcome to Pau Hana, a restaurant and bar focused on Hawaiian Regional
Cuisine. Known as “HRC” for short, Hawaiian Regional Cuisine reflects the unique and vast culinary scene in Hawaii, one influenced by more than a century of immigration to the Hawaiian Islands. HRC is the infusion of locally available food (think fresh fish, livestock and tropical fruit) with flavors and techniques from all over the South Pacific and Southeast Asia.
The name “Pau Hana” speaks more to the atmosphere and attitude of life on the islands than the actual cuisine. Translating roughly to “done with work,” Pau Hana is used on the islands to describe after-work drinks with your friends. Let us help you escape to the islands- it’s Pau Hana Time!

We finally were able to make it here after being highly recommended by many. All the food we ate was plated well with color and was full of flavor! I recommend trying something from each menu group or 2!

Pau Hana is a treat to have in Savage. Housed in the former Perkins, the interior remains the same as far was table placement, seating structure but decorated beautifully to give an open, airy, natural island feel with ample lighting.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the patio! We were greeted by a friendly and pleasant host. Our server Patrakul was knowledgeable about the menu, gave suggestions and checked in on us regularly. We ordered KFC for an appetizer, the Asian Slaw Salad w/Katsu and the Aina pizza. Both were delicious! We will definitely dine here again. Highly recommend!

We ordered a Poke Stack, Luxe Burger with Bacon, Hamakua pizza, POG Highball and Semifreddo. Poke Stack was delicious. I ordered POG Highball without ice and they served it in a small glass. It was good. Luxe Burger and Hamakua pizza was good. Hamakua was flavourful. Semifreddo had a different taste with mint and chocolate shavings. There is a 3% service fee on credit card payments. The ambience inside the restaurant and decorations are good. We will come back to try other items on the menu.

everything we ordered was delicious. our server, sierra (not positive how to spell her name) was amazing. they were attentive and sweet. highly recommend this place. ❤️ their ghost aioli had a kick of spice and I have a high spice tolerance so I was surprised.

First time here and this has to be the best restaurant in Savage. Mojito was solid. Loco Moco was fantastic. Service and atmosphere, especially the patio seating were very good. Expensive! $50 for drink/entree after taxes/tip. I’d eat here every day if I was rich though

As an establishment, Pau Hana lists itself as a Hawaiian restaurant. The last time I have been to Hawaii was in 2007, and since I was so young, I had no recollection of what the food was like. So suffice it to say that Pau Hana was my exposure to Hawaiian style food. With no knowledge of what Hawaiian food is like, I cannot make a judgment on Pau Hana’s food authenticity, but leaving that aspect be, Pau Hana does have excellent food and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there! The mixture of Japanese golden curry, seared ahi tuna, coconut shrimp, fried egg, and furikake sushi rice was my absolute favorite, so the ahi loco moco was an all-around excellent dish! The best part about it was that no matter what I chose to mix in my spoon, be it rice & curry, rice and tuna, curry & tuna, rice & egg, whatever, it would provide a good distinct taste. I also enjoyed the poke stack. Having aioli, tobiko, tuna, and guacamole was a pleasant surprise. The wonton chicken pizza was good as well, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular. The “KFC” was also a pleasant surprise because I have never had fried cauliflower in gochujang before. It was very similar to a dish called N.H.K. in Zen Box Izakaya in Minneapolis, except that it was not chicken but cauliflower, which was suitable for what I needed at that time. I also tasted a bit of the Asian slaw salad with chicken katsu, and decided that it was good but the highlight was definitely the chicken as I ended up leaving the salad itself be afterwards. My friends had the smoked wings and the kalua pork burger and they both enjoyed their food. Once again, if you are looking for authentic Hawaiian food, you can give Pau Hana a try. I just have not had any Hawaiian food prior to this to make a complete judgment. But if you are just looking for good Hawaiian-style food, then Pau Hana is your spot! Definitely give this place a shot!

It’s very nice to try something new with non typical food. Everything was great, but we especially LOVED the pizza. The service was exceptional, and our server explained the menu in detail to help with our food selection. We will be back!
