I think Pat’s pizza is going down

The food is always good. Love their pizza. Subs are okay but they really like to put sweet peppers on everything. If you’re not a fan, make sure you specify to skip them. The calzones and strombolis are YUGE. Delivery is always faster than estimated. Give them a shot if you haven’t.

We moved to the area a little over 4 years ago. When we did, we tried a whole bunch of nearby pizza joints to determine which would be our family’s go-to, and Pat’s on Conowingo Rd. won by a landslide. We enjoyed many delicious pizzas from them for 4 years, but at some point in the last year they changed their cheese. Now, instead of stretchy, chewy, really cheesey cheese, they use this bitter stuff that only detracts from their pizzas. The crust and sauce are still great, and the service has always been good, but the cheese is so dissappinting that we find ourselves ordering from Dominos lately, which sort of breaks my heart. So, Pat’s, if you see this and decide to switch your cheese back to the good stuff, holler at me, and we’ll come running back!

Ordered a pizza, mozz stix & a sub on a Saturday night at 6:30. The girl that took my order (Sam) was very friendly. She said my food would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Seemed like that would be impossible on a Sat night, but sure enough it was ready when I got there. The food was excellent!! One of the better cheesesteaks I’ve had in a while! Super fresh roll. Don’t sleep on Pat’s!!!

I must say I used to be a huge fan. Even after working for Pat’s in Edgewood and eating the food every day I never did get tired of the yummy dishes! Spin forward there is a Pat’s right around the corner from my house. Very often we order and the food is cold, disgusting and/or not what we ordered. Every time we call and complain….they give us a credit to use for future use. Its this vicious circle because now we have a credit to use and order again! Last night was the last straw! The triple chocolate cake is my favorite! After begging my husband to order me a piece…this is what I end up with…not even sure what this is…smells and tastes like coffee. I could have called and complained but why, to be given another credit just to be let down…or to have to driver risk his life (01/08 – everything was covered in ice) to deliver me what i actually ordered. This is one very very loyal disappointed customer. I didn’t order a $5.00 piece of cake for nothing…

Pizza could have more cheese, cheesesteak was dry/burnt and lasagna was greasy (tasted ok just wasn’t a fan of the amount of grease). Restaurant was clean and staff was nice so we will give them another chance.

I’ve always gotten my cold cut subs (Italian and American) from Fortunato Brothers. I happened to be out on a day that Fortunato’s was closed, so I called Buontempo’s, as well as Margherita Pizza. While they both offered Italian cold cut subs, they did not offer an American cold cut sub. I called Pat’s Pizzeria (in Bel Air), as a last ditch effort, and what a payoff!! I will never go elsewhere for my subs again! Their cold cut subs, as well as their cheesesteak subs, are absolutely phenomenal! The Italian cold cut sub has just the right amount of oil and vinegar, anything leftover will keep in the fridge without the bread getting soggy.

I was craving pizza and based from the reviews, we gave Pat’s a try. Good starting off-point. Next time I’ll know to see if there are different types of crust (ours was too thick without enough sauce). The delivery took 1 hour (as it stated on the online order even though it’s 1minute from our house, as per Googlemaps) but mostly everything was lukewarm or cold when it was delivered (boneless wings, mozzarella sticks and soggy French fries). Overall, not bad, but nothing spectacular.

Food is always consistently delicious. They have pretty decent weekly specials, and you can earn points for each order to redeem for money off later. Excellent service. One of our go-to local places.

Food isn’t good enough to justify the price, there is a 4 dollar delivery fee. And they charge a fee for using a VISA. Never again
