Founded in 2005 as a simple neighborhood food truck in the Washington Heights/Inwood sector of Manhattan. Patacon Pisao now serves the most authentic and critically acclaimed Venezuelan cuisine in New York City. We are best known for our use of plantains aka the Patacon. Others who try to look like us attempt to imitate our artful creation of the classic, but there is only one. Our generation-old family recipes represent the traditional flavors found in restaurants and street vendors in Venezuela. Our casual atmosphere, generous portions, and affordable prices bring people from all parts of the world to our doors.

I have been here multiple times over the years, but it’s been over a year since I last visited. When I get home, this is what I find. The food has always been good at this restaurant, and even with this burned patacón, everything else we ordered was delicious. Although this was my first poor experience here, the customer service is friendly, and the food is excellent. Before you leave, make sure you check your order.

Wish they change oil more often. Taste is amazing when everything is fresh. Plantain is always pre-made which makes them quick but who k now how n old they can be . A but pricey for a food truck

This was honestly one of my top go to spots for many years when I would eat out. My partner picked some up tonight on his way home from the city and it was pretty good but still I was thinking to myself that the maduros weren’t that fresh and were hard. A few minutes later my partner bit into a rock that was in the sandwich and hurt his back molar. Not pleased with the company at all. It ruined the food for us and we didn’t even finish it.

Service was quick not crowded. The Patacon sandwich or burger was okay, not any amazing taste; just the gimic of the patacon was the hype.

Drove to NY from NJ because I saw the place had good a rating, and it was definitely worth the drive!! The food was all delicious and the prices were great, given how great everything was. The guy taking order was a bit serious, but food was soooo good that it didn’t matter lol.
