Wow. This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Each dish was so beautifully thought out. It was worth the price, and definitely the wait. Don’t miss the hidden door way where you are greeted with a drink. Each dish took me on a journey. Not gonna lie, there were times I almost cried it was so passionately put together. 10000/10 would go back..

Really amazing culinary experience. I’m a vegetarian and there were multiple courses that were comparable to nothing I’ve ever had before. A lot of the time vegetarian means it’s “the dish” minus the meat but here it meant I had “my own” personalized version of the menu that met my dietary preferences. This is rare and took immense attention to detail. I recommend you take someone special here that really enjoys good food or it will probably be lost on them.

I have never had a tasting at an Italian restaurant, but this is one that I would highly recommend!! This is the second “By Scratch Kitchen” review Ive done and I can say..AWESOME JOB!!! Everything was executed in such a meticulous fashion and the tastes that they were creating you never would’ve thought went together…like caviar and ice cream !!! that one blew my mind and I loved it. The coolest part is the story behind each of the dishes…sets you up for the experience that will delight your tastebuds!! We had the tasting with the wine pairings and wow…got some ideas for new wines thats for sure. Things that stood out…

If you’re looking for an elevated one-of-a-kind dining experience, Pasta Bar is truly one of the most exclusive experiences in Austin right now! It’s very intimate with only a few seats at the chef’s counter and the 11- course meal is hand prepared and displayed wonderfully. Two of my favorite meals were the lobster and bone marrow smoke (so delicious!) along with all of the wine selections. This was such a great way to spend the night and try something unique and different, I highly recommend making a reservation here for any occasion!

Hailing from Los Angeles, the Scratch team has brought one of the best tasting menus I’ve ever experienced and definitely the best dining experience in Austin. It was a little hard to find at first but that adds to its appeal. We were promptly greeted and then offered cocktails while waiting to be lead into the main dining room. It felt a bit like Disney World being lead in by an overly friendly and enthusiastic guide into the magical dining room. It was an intimate seating of 10 and an open kitchen so you can see all the magic happen. Every dish was well thought out and honestly mind blowing. If you can snag a spot, I highly recommend going.

The food was good but not great, possibly my fault for having such high expectations after reading about the LA location being Michelin starred. There was no wow factor on any of the dishes except the bread and dessert for me. I left feeling disappointed. For such a small setting I did not feel engaged with the chefs, and for the majority of time I was just handed food. I do not feel the price was worth the experience I received. The place was very clean and comfortable. I don’t think I’d go back.
