We had not been there for several months. Owner seems to be nice guy, they now wait on customers at their tables. Husband specifically asked if meatballs had cheese. I said they probably did. Server insisted not. Husband ordered, took one small bit and said tasted weird. I insisted waiter ask cook. He came back with some stupid story about how the recipe had just changed today and has cheese. Yea, right. He took food back and brought something different. Husband is now home sick. We had explained that he was deathly allergic to cheese

I went in today to grab a get to go order ,and meet the owner what a nice guy. My family have eaten at pronto pasta several times and have had excellent service and food every time. The food is not the stuff that comes out of a can or a box,you can tell the difference from the first bite to the last,so if your looking for a great place to take family or friends out to eat try Pronto Pasta Bistro you wont be disappointed.

At 1st glance this place appears to be a combination of Corporate Italian and Mom & Pop. Stay a while and it feels like a prison with windows where the average passerby can watch you being tortured by edibles you paid for. The tables have your standard red and white checkered table cloth (plastic), chairs and Fireplace (either gas or LED) that was not on. Understandable given the outside temperature. The large screen TV was off so the only sound was from large refrigeration units which could be heard throughout the entire dinning area. The place was clean and populated by only 1 visible staff, myself and Kari. we where shown a menu and told we could sit anywhere but we had to return to the counter to order. Kari ordered the Vegetable Lasagna and I the whole wheat penne with roasted garlic sauce and italian sausage. The young server called to her friend “you get to play cook now, I did it last time” both ladies with the combined age 42 (given since the serve alcohol) then proceed with re telling of their current life events across the wall that separates the kitchen from dinning area. what could be heard was something cooking on the grill and the beeping of buttons pushed on a microwave as the door was being shut. food service was prompt (wonder why?) and when I asked for silverware (none at the table) the snobby server said “oh yeah those are by the straws” like I have been here before. she then pointed to them by the semi automated, carbonated, diabetes dispenser. then said “is there anything else I can get you?” she failed to realized she had yet to get my anything! Kari’s Salad had a brown hair so prominently displayed on its oily leafs. She’s a Redhead and I have Black and White hair it was definitely not one we brought to the party. Kari’s main course was under temperature, chewy for all the wrong reasons and had a flavor that she said “not even my dog could stomach this” I disagree that flea bag will eat paint if food falls on it but I do see her point. My pasta had great presentation but that where it ended. Hardly any sauce at all. I added olive oil just to have some seblance of a sauce. The Italian sausage was well done but was not enough. The whole wheat pasta was badly cooked. It was soft on the outside but hard in the center to the point that it repelled my fork every time I tried to poke it. It’s like it was fighting me to keep from being eaten. The price for the food,(lack of) Service and portions is so overpriced it was almost shocking. Especially for food you have to walk up to order, seat yourself, get your own drinks and get your own silverware. to put it into perspective it costs $2.29 for a 3/4in meatball, a single Meatball!!! Subway is sitting on a goldmine according to this pricing scale. The only ray of light was the guy who came out from the back, wearing old school, cut off finger bike gloves holding a giant medal spoon (kind of scary) he asked if we needed anything. This guy actually sounded concerned but it was too late for any sort of help. Btw I think this was the only real italian guy in the house. Before we left a man that looked like he could have been the manager or owner came out with his shirt and tie on…..Walked right past us. Did not even acknowledge our presence, adjusted some chairs in the vastly vacant dinning area and disappeared around a corner. I’m just going to end it with…..I would rather Eat at Olive Garden and that place is garbage BUT they sure do make you feel welcome.

This is a place that I take friends, and it’s often a hit. Their bread is worth going for just by itself…just sayin. If I lived closer to them I would eat there a LOT!
