Nice family friendly restaurant with an old timer feel. It was very popular so I thought the food would be really delicious. Everything was yummy except for the eggplant. It was extremely salty and hard to eat. The kids shrimp was a perfect portion and honestly would have been eaten by an adult. Overall I definitely suggest stopping by and checking this place out. It has a little bit of everything for everyone.

The food was good. In a lot of ways it’s very similar to The Chimes, and I would say that the Chimes was better. I did notice here, at least where we were there was a lot of trash on the floor. Someone needed to do some sweeping. The food was good, but not great. It was our first time coming here and the wait was about an hour even though we were told 20-30 minutes. When we walked in there were so many empty tables, it was confusing as to why the wait was so long. Our waiter Luke was excellent! He was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us his recommendations.

The food was decent. We had a new server so there were a few hiccups. My biggest complaint would be that we spent over $150 for dinner here and we were seated in a booth. The booths have HUGE rips in the seats. Extremely unsatisfied with the price paid for the food considering y’all charge so much and the inside of your restaurant is ghetto. I seriously did y’all a favor not posting pictures of the seats for everyone to see. Highly doubt we’ll be back.

The food was exceptional. The service is top-notch. Prices are competitive. When in town, I will go definitely back to Parrain’s.

It was crowded but it moved fairly quick. Food was actually interesting and good, depending on the dish. Especially the crab fingers were good and very different. Etouffee was good too. Food is kind of like Pappadeuax but the cheaper version

Flew into Baton Rouge from out of town and couldn’t wait to try this place since Baton Rouge has some of my favorite places to eat. The food was very good, but the fish was completely burned to a crisp on one side where you couldn’t even pick it up without getting burned pieces into the rest of the food. Huge disappointment, who would sell this to their customers?

Raw and baked oysters were great! My son finally got to have drum again after 10 years. Ordered a wine that never arrived. NBD, still brought the team (16U Marucci World Series runners-up!) 2 days later. We sat outside with about 24 people. Threw a wrench in the works for service, but everyone enjoyed their eventual meals. Go blackjack oysters!

First of all service here was great! We came in with a party of 5 (2 adults 3 kids) we were seated in less than 10 min. Our waiter was prompt with everything from the drinks/ refills to the bill. He was great! We had the Boudin Balls for the appetizer they tasted so good and came out hot and fresh! I got the Andouille encrusted fresh fish I loved it and I’m not too much of a fish fan but the sauce was chef’s kiss. Definitely coming back when we’re visit again and would also recommend to family and friends.

It was the best sea food restaurant I have ever tested. It was crowded and we were about 7 people. They did not have space in the restaurant for us but they make a place for un in the bar which was really nice of them. Also they bring you a little of any new food u wanted to taste in order make a better decision which was again a great service they offered. The food tastes perfect and very special. We ordered new orlean style bbq shrim which was the best shrimp I’ve ever had. The suace was perfect and they let us test it befor ordering. We also had grilled fresh fish with dirty rice which was very well cooked. The atmosphere was so nice and the cabin was very nicely designed. I truly enjoyed my experience there.

Stopped here based on MULTIPLE recommendations from the locals. Everyone had GREAT things to say. Our server was great in working with a picky eater in our party, offering multiple samples at no cost. In the end, an option not listed on the menu (GRILLED catfish) was ordered and LOVED. This place is great and you won’t be disappointed for trying it. I’m going back next week!
