I love a good diner and it’s very apparent that many things here are made in house. The less than 5 star review is due to its half restored vibe. It just looks half rusted and that the folks who decided to reopen this have not restored its gorgeous features to the fullest. Like the pastry cases at the bar and the awesome cooler that sits along the server bar (I only saw whipped cream in there). The diners I grew up with were dingy, and that adds to character, but every diner I can remember had cases overflowing with donuts and pies. Just a few small touches would made this place a top notch. Side note – their breakfast burrito bowl is amazing and their English muffins have to be made in house – they were superb. My son had a full on breakfast – pancakes (w/real VT syrup), home fries, eggs and bacon. He loved it! We will be back.

The food is very fresh and the manager is very nice. I had some confusion on how the breakfast menu worked. Now that I know to order each component that I want with my omelette I will good to try this place again!

I have been here three times for breakfast now and have had a consistently great experience. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and you can’t beat a classic diner for atmosphere. I always end up with one of their biscuits because they are so good, especially when covered in gravy!

I’ve eaten here 4 times now, 3x for breakfast and 1x for lunch. The breakfast is fantastic. I urge you to try the biscuits and gravy. That taste as good as any I have had in the south. Tried the lunch the other day and enjoyed. The house chili is good with a healthy amount of spicy heat. That alone make it worth recommending since spicy food is hard to find up here in New England. The staff seems to rotate so it seems they are always training. I think that is a Burlington thing. Staff shortages all over Burlington make it rough to keep people. We need to reach out to the underemployed of West Virginia and move them up here where all the jobs are. Sadly, we don’t have the housing. OK, I can see I am rambling and ranting. Try Parkway Diner for breakfast. You might have to wait, but it is worth it.

This was an unexpected delight! This was my first trip there in some time, and it was truly exceptional. Under new owners since my last visit – everything is made in-house! My sausage was made there. The english muffin for my wife’s Eggs Benedict was made on site. The breakfast menu was larger than the lunch menu, but portions were fairly large and not too pricey. Service was wonderful as well. Really worth the trip!

This place has been here since I can remember. Although it’s has had different owners, the food is still delicious! It’s a little pricey but worth it.

Wonderful new/old spot for breakfast. The historic diner feel is cozy and the food is hearty and delicious. I had the two veg options for breakfast– veggie hash with poached eggs and the veggie breakfast burrito– with endless coffee pours. Looking forward to trying the barbacoa breakfast burrito and lunch sandwiches.
