Everytime we visit home we always get our breakfast from this place but this time my husband ordered one biscuit and it was hard and burnt and it taste like it was stale maybe made from yesterday this was very disappointing.

Well this place lived up to its reputations!!! I ordered to go: chicken and sausage gumbo w/potatoe salad AND chicken fried steak with white gravy and mashed potatoes and it is yummy yummy gum drops!! Was told to pick up in 15 but i got there in 30 mins. The staff greeted me with pretty smiles and let me go on my merry way (work calls). It was a quick order so im not mad at that at all!! The gumbo AND potato salad are made with perfection! Im real big on the color of the rue too and it wasnt at all dark or thick! Chicken fried steak with white gravy is yum yum too! Overall this restaurant does cook with “cajun love” and i am and will be going back again! Buddah blessings to the restaurant and thank you so much for filling me up before work!!!!!!

Locals seem to like the food more than I. My companion liked her poboy and fries. But I got the lunch special, which was disappointing: 2 meatballs, potato salad and peach cobbler for $12. Was supposed to be meatball stew, the cobbler tasted like cake batter (uncooked), but the potato salad was good. Maybe breakfast is much better.

We frequent this establishment as often as we can. We’ve done breakfast and went back the same day for lunch. The food and the service is wonderful. My personal favorite is the shrimp and okra gumbo.
