I’ve tried all the other restaurants in the Pappas company lineup and they are among my favorite restaurants, each of them in their genre. I had never been to this one until today.

It was my first time going to Pappas Bar-B-Q and my experience was good. I ordered through the drive thru, they were fast and friendly. I ordered the chopped beef fries and ranch beans, which I liked a lot… especially the beans.

Try this at your own risk. My wife and I were visiting family and wanted some BBQ. We decided to try Pappas in Duncanville. Our first mistake was the parking lot was pretty empty. The second mistake was noticing that the dining room was very empty. Our third mistake was the prices vs the portions. Don’t get me wrong, I know that everything has increased in price but the portion of brisket was a child’s portion. Let’s get to the taste. The BBQ was okay. The meat has some bark on it but something was missing. The yams are a disgrace to the yam. The were sweet but lacked flavor. Some parts were crispy. The potato salad was the best side. I really don’t see myself ever visiting this restaurant again. If this continues, it will be another restaurant in the southern sector that bites the dust.

I always see this place off the side of the freeway, but by their name, I would have never guessed they serve breakfast. This review is for those delicious, worth every single penny breakfast burritos. They were simple/basic but they didn’t taste simple or basic. I tried the bacon, egg, and cheese and it did not disappoint! The salsa with it was like icing on the cake. If the breakfast tacos are this good, I can’t wait to try lunch or dinner from here.

Pappas has changed and did what I like to call a two wallet punch. Go up on price and down in size. I don’t respect that so won’t be ordering the brisket fries any longer. There was hardly any queso and the little bit of meat was mostly fat. Very disappointed because I really liked them but I can’t just give my money away and that’s what you’re doing ordering this. It’s like you’re paying $12 for a regular order of fries…. NO THANKS!

Love their baby back ribs, potato salad and green beans, though the green beans were old with fresh sliced onions. The Watermelon drink was fabulous! The carrot cake is very good as well.

Great vibe, food was good, and excellent customer service. With patio seating. Try the candy yams.

I had the wings for the 1st time & it’s a NO a for me! They were DELICIOUS in flavor, but for as being cooked on a smoker: I NEED them done! I believe I tried ALL their sides EXCEPT the potato salad & their cakes & ALL are DELICIOUS
