We loved Paper City BBQ! The meats we sampled were perfectly cooked and soooo tender. The smokey flavor was a bit too intense for me but tempered nicely with the sweet sauce on the table. The spicier sauce was in what looked like a ketchup squeeze bottle and was awesome on the pulled pork. (Maybe label the sauces?)

Placed a preorder at paper city for next day pick up. Order was ready to go when I arrived. Brisket was amazing. The surprise for me was the pork belly, really

I think this is my new favorite barbecue in New England! The dry rub on the ribs is amazing, no barbecue sauce needed, very meaty and good size. The brisket was delicious, macaroni and cheese, chili, even the garnish was tasty. Corn muffins could be a bit sweeter/buttery-er Main beer on tap, games to play, easy parking. Staff was terrific.

Great hangout and even better food. The burnt ends were amazing and the house made BBQ sauce was the best sauce I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

Smelt really good and thought I’d try it. Got the Meat sweats and it has a bunch of food. Pulled pork was really tender, sausage has a little spice to it and made it so much better. Great draft selection as well and drinks are very well done.

We finally tried this place after getting some of the amazing smells during a recent delivery so we just picked up some takeout and I’m honestly blown away!! I’m a bit of a connoisseur having previously co-owned a bbq restaurant, I’ve also lived all over the south and tried just about every variation. Everything was delicious and unique, even the Mac & cheese wasn’t your basic stuff. Very flavorful food right down the street, we are very impressed and will be back again soon!!

I was excited to try the bbq here but ended up not loving it. They state the bbq is smoked on site but the meat tasted like it was seasoned with liquid smoke. A low slow bbq is tender and the smoke flavor is infused, this was not the case here. The pulled pork came in a puddle of greasy drippings which probably means it was convection roasted, pulled, and served with the drippings. The slaw was ok. The mini cornbread was dry and cold. The bbq sauces were good, but because the smoke flavoring was so strong and salty, they really just added a layer of flavor that didn’t compliment the dish. The Mac and cheese was ok.

Have only had the chance to get take out here, but have had it several times. Everything is really good. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because 1 time we were missing an item and another our brisket portion was pretty fatty. Nothing that would stop us from ordering again, we understand food service is crazy especially with the volume involved in online ordering. Would definitely recommend as one of the top bbq spots in the Portland area.

After reading mixed reviews, I have to say that this place is ok. Took the kids so it was nice that they had games they could play (basketball shoot, big buck hunter.) The food was alright. Portions were a bit small. I was expecting something close to Salvage, but sadly will not be returning.

We were going to try but you guys act d like you didn’t want us there.Seems like the bar is where they serve you? We stood at door for a few minutes,no one cared whether we sat or not. They said sit wherever no menus in table,no signs explaining how they did stuff but we sat and waited for 5 or 6 min, not even a just a min. So we went to Portland Salvage BBQ spent 75 dollars where people actually cared we were there
