Sergio DePhilippis is a Memeber of the Family who owns Filippi’s Pizza Grotto. He brings the recipes and style of food he grew up making, and provides them in a fast casual take out style of restaurant.
The environment is cozy, clean causal and classic with a slight modern twist.
Everything is served in a takeout fashion, however there are plenty of tables to enjoy your beer to watch the game or enjoy a glass of wine on that patio while soaking in the wonderful south Temecula breeze.

My first time going after my siblings sports game. The cashier was very welcoming and the place is very clean. I love the photos and timeline of the family’s history! Horrible service, understaffed. Had an hour and a half between picking up my two kids from school and thought I would get us some food in between. 1 cashier was helping two girls who couldn’t decide what they wanted. Wanted almost 15 min before I could order. As I was about to order, the cashier apologized for the wait but told me to hold on to pass out several backed up orders waiting. Now it was 20 min and I couldn’t wait anymore knowing I’d have to order, wait 10-15 min for food etc. 30 min is for cheap delivery pizza, not a walk-in customer. I know they can’t control a customer who can’t get their order together but they could have at least taken our order before delivering the backed up orders to at least get it started cooking. There was no one else in line but me and my 2 sons. I’m not impressed with their service.

I went into Papa’s Pizza Grotto to order a meatball sub for my Son, he works a few doors down at Pechanga gas station. I asked if they gave a discount for Pechanga employees and they said “No”. I ordered the meatball sub and waited for the food because my son was on his 30 minute lunch.

First time there, we’re staying just a walking distance from the Pechanga Rv resort. Ordered lunch for the wife and I, we enjoyed their food. It was really good, they just became one of the food places to go to….. Thank you.
