We went over here late at night just about 20 mins before shutdown. This was my first time coming to Virginia and my first time eating at any Panda Express Joint. I would say the food is great but they need to add more vegetarian options. The staff, at the end of the day were responsive and served us right considering we were the only customers. The ambience was good and quantity of the food was sufficient for a good dinner. Definitely a place to check out for once.

Joshua took my order at the drive through. However, he interrupted my order and explained there would be a 6 minute wait. Fast forward 15 minutes later I was still waiting by the drive through. I’m assuming he went on break or forgot, he didn’t come off as all that genuine. I’m giving this five starts as a young blonde lady demonstrated excellent recovery when I finally went into the store to see what was taking so long. She was very apologetic and seemed genuinely sorry for my wait. She then gave me a free drink! So 5/5 for her!

Danger! MSG IS IN THE FOOD HERE! GAVE ME AND MY FRIENDS HEADACHES REPEATEDLY! Sadly, they claim No MSG added to the food, but according to an ex employee, there is MSG in the base they use for their sauces, so they cleverly say they add no msg, because its already added separately to the sauce base.

The food was great! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful! My husband had the orange chicken and it was so amazing. I enjoyed my honey sesame chicken and loved the walnut shrimp. We were able to sit at the tables outside due to the dining room still being closed.

This location has gone down hill over the past few months. Slow service, the selection is poor most of the time, and it seems like the portion sizes have creeped down. The food quality is still decent, but with many of the dishes being out, I can’t always get what I want (surprisingly… they are more likely to have their premium selections…). It’s a shame, because the location is very convenient to the Virginia Tech campus, and typically I can eat here and keep my calories at least mostly under control.

I give this panda express four stars instead of five just because every now and then you have to put up with a rude employee. Usually they’re on the young side and don’t have an ounce of customer service but majority of the time good staff and good food. They do get backed up at lunch at times but who doesn’t. And if there ever is an issue, staff is usually pretty good about correcting. I don’t know how the dinner rush is, but I would worry you might find more of the single issue stated above.

Ordered myself a pick up order via DoorDash to grab on my lunch break when I was on a limited time frame to get back for a meeting, went through the drive thru to get it was told at the window to come inside. If I had time to come inside, I would have come inside. So lazy and simple minded you can’t just pass it through the window. I already paid for the food, as the customer I should get it the way I want it which is even if I hadn’t been in a time crunch, I don’t like going inside of restaurants ever. You have a drive thru so it’s absurd to not allow people to use it

Came in about 2-3 hours before close and half of the food was gone. We were told that they were not making any more food for the rest of the night. The food we did get, however, was not cooked or seasoned properly. We found hair in our fried rice. Their staff sat in the lobby and, rather than focusing on the customers, spoke about their personal lives. The manager behind the counter was somewhat nice but it honestly came off as belittling when we asked about portion sizes and clarification for why there wasn’t food available. I worked in food service for years and I have never stopped making food for the night 3 hours before close. I don’t know if the staff just wanted to get out early or if they’re just lazy. That is not how I would run my business. I only went out to eat because it was finals and we were too tired to make our own food at home…huge mistake. I will never spend money or time at this establishment again. If anyone else would like mediocre food at an expensive price with terrible service, be my guest. Thank you for ruining my night. The next day I threw it up anyways.
