I’ve been on the hunt for a good KBBQ place in OC for the past few weeks and I think I may have found the perfect spot! Pan Korean BBQ had everything I was looking for when reviewing their menu on Yelp so my bf and I decided to give them a try this past weekend. We arrived on Saturday evening around 6:30pm and there was no wait, we were seated right away. The restaurant has table seating for regular customers and private dining room options going around the perimeter of the main area. The enclosed rooms would be nice if you have a larger party and want a more private experience.

The korean bbq was good but the music was too LOUD we could not be enjoy the food and a conversation! My daughter and I went here for the first time and this is the experience we get!! The person in charge said that a customer wanted the volume increased so she did….it’s like being in a nightclub . It’s just bad timing for us to be with that other customer who insisted on turning up the volume and mgr to do so without considering everyone else!! So that’s why I’m rating this 2 stars. Maybe when u visit u will be lucky not to have that experience with the deafening music as we did. I ended our dinner with a migraine! It’s worth to go back for their food but not if the volume if the music will be too high!!!!!!!

Found this place at 10:30pm cause nothing else was open, but what a gem. The quality of the meat is right on par with AYCE restaurants in LA and they even give you one soon-doobu, one soy bean paste stew, and one steamed egg PER PERSON. Normally, you get one for every four people…There was only one waitress working at the time (bless her heart), but despite the workload, she was super friendly and always stopped by to see if we needed anything. I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area!

Food is OK. Atmosphere is good. It’s not too busy. There was only 1 other table with people. The service was not good at all. They ignore us when we try to call for service. They didn’t refill the small dishes, unless we ask for it. But they didn’t come by so we could hardly order. We tried to order everything at one time as they don’t come by often. But the lady got angry. So we end up having to order things like forks, napkins in the next round.

We were looking for a new AYCE bbq as our favorite spot was way crowded. We stumbled upon Pan and we figured what the heck let’s try it. Quality meats and fresh veggies, their Kimche seemed a bit off but other then that all was good. We loved the small squid, fresh veggies, brisket, pork belly and various sausages. Not to shabby for their price point.
