I’ve eaten here half a dozen times and will be back. The food is really good and prices are great. It’s a family owned and operated business, with good home cooking. Nick’s burger and palmetto burger are great. Chicken fried steak, and catfish/flounder are good. However, the meatloaf and gyro are my favorites so far. The sides are all good, I gravitate to the ocra, squash, and green beans. I’m planning to try everything on the menu. Haven’t been disappointed yet. Side note, their steak sandwich isn’t the best but it’s definitely better than a lot of places in town that charge over $20 for the same thing (firebirds and J Peters).

Palmetto drive in on Lauren’s Rd has outstanding delicious foods and awesome customer service I ordered the shrimp and flounder plate for my hubby and again I didn’t take a picture lol I have got to do better but the portion size was great and the prices are absolutely wonderful.

Went during lunch hour with a colleague. I got the country fried steak with cornbread and coleslaw and Mac and cheese. The only item liked was the steak. The cornbread was wet on the inside. The slaw had barely any flavor, and the Mac n Cheese had zero flavor. Service was good, parking fine, prices ok. Will probably not return.

They advertise deals and then they don’t honor them when you’re at the counter. I don’t think there was a mistake because they have them published in many sites. They either do it on purpose so people will buy food from them full price just as they’re already at the counter or they didn’t want to honor their deal because we are Latinos. We felt extremely uncomfortable since we crossed the doorway with all the looks and frowns for asking about the deal.

They don’t honor the deals they publish. We got a Bogo deal and when we got to the counter to make an order they said they made a mistake with it and they wouldn’t honor it because it was no good. We were also treated condescendingly for being Hispanic and got all sorts of bad looks from customers.
