I enjoyed the fried shrimp, but the salad was just shredded iceberg lettuce with diced tomatoes, and ranch.

I am going with a 3 due to several reasons and none necessarily with the food. The food was filled with great flavor and definitely was fresh! My complaint with it is quantity versus value. The guisada was $14.99 and my fajitas were $24. The salsa taste like a kicked up ketchup. For 2 people our ticket was $56 without tip!

I was in town for a family reunion and stopped here for supper. I had the El Mexicano plate. The taco that came with the plate was stuffed with more meat than any taco I’ve ever had. It was good, too. The employees were very nice and the service was great. The next time we are here for our reunion, I will be back.

This place should not be in business anymore. Way overpriced!!? And the food was so bad we could not eat anything we bought. Had to leave it on our plates and go someplace else to eat. Will not be back here and we will recommend any and everyone to avoid wasting your money here. Our rice and beans tasted like they were cooked in some kind of Lysol. Horrible!!!

It was good and a lot of food. I just wish they add a little spice to their salsa and use corn tortilla instead of flour, or maybe they offer it, but we never got the option for it.

Came here while visiting Palacios for the weekend. It was recommended by a local resident, so we thought we’d give it a try. I had the Palacios Dinner plate. It was very good. Had all the stuff I like with lots of cheese on it. They had a decent beer selection.

Even though it looks rundown, as most buildings in downtown are, this restaurant is a popular place. Always open, always consistently delicious. Friendly stuff.

Most expensive Mexican restaurant I’ve been to across several different states. Hard to detail the food quality because the quality went down based on high price point. The staff was nice, but to demand a value vs cost at the point they require it would call for more professional staff and far better food presentation. Only saving grace is being the only Mexican restaurant in a quaint fishing town on the gulf of Texas, but it’s worth the drive to Houston to not eat here, sorry.
