We have been coming to Pacci’s in Silver Spring for the past 10+ years. We’ve always considered it the best authentic Italian food around the area. The food quality, presentation and taste has always been consistently amazing. You knew the pasta sauce and pasta were homemade and always delicious. We ate there tonight for the first time in nearly a year and were shocked at the changes in the food quality and taste from start to finish. The bread was dry and cold, the salad was flavorless with yellowish arugula and not enough dressing or toppings. The spaghetti with meatballs was the ultimate disappointment. The sauce was runny and watery and tasted like it came from a can. Truly, what happened to our favorite Italian place—new cook? New owners? We shared the salad and spaghetti dish and paid over $40. Price too high for current quality of food. Breaks my heart to say it but likely won’t be back.

The smell at the entrance is very good!

Great place for a Friday evening as it was busy but not overly crowded and no wait. The servers are attentive and friendly, the ambiance is great and the food was very good. We had a great appetizer and awesome pizzas. The kitchen is open concept and we could see generous portions being sent to their tables with very tasty looking food. The cocktails were well made as well! Also very affordable for this area.

Tried one of their sandwiches for the first time today. Was very tasty, but was covered in mayo or aioli when I asked for no sauce (personal preference – hate mayo and aioli). I had to deconstruct it a bit to get around all of the sauce, but in the end, I could tell it would have been an amazing sandwich.

We wanted to take my MIL for a nice pasta dinner while she was in town and decided on Pacci’s based on the high reviews. They did not disappoint! My young daughter started having a meltdown so we had to request our meal and wine to-go. They were so kind about it and pivoted to help us get out quickly. When we got home, the pasta was fresh, hot, and delicious. We’ll definitely be back again soon…without the toddler in tow.

Great food with a nice location. Has private parking but it is very confusing. Food was delicious and fresh and we really like the specials they had. Desert was very nice without being too rich or sweet. Cannolis looked a little small though.

I’ve been to Pacci’s twice before with an amazing experience until last night (my 3rd time here). I ordered the Carbanara, which I’ve ordered previously and it was amazing, but this time it came out with big chuncks of cooked egg. I cook from scratch and know that this is not how Carbanara is made. At first didn’t want to exchange but the waiter was kind and insisted it was OK so I did but the second time it was made the exact same way. By then my family had basically finished eating and I didn’t want to exchange for a second time and politely agreed it was ok to take my meal off the receipt. They gave me a dessert “on the house” but it was a small, slanted end piece of cake (which normally I wouldn’t care but due to being hungry because I hadn’t eaten a meal first I asked for full cake piece). The water guy spilled twice, the table area we sat was extremely cramped, my mother ordered the pasta with class (the class were small and the pasta had been left out and stuck together, with barely any sauce), and my youngest son ordered the shrimp in wine, butter sauce which came with 2 pieces of bread that were soggy. When leaving I asked to speak to the manager and spoke to “Tisheeka” who was extremely rude. I have worked customer service for years and know people are quick to complain but I am one to take time to compliment so I thought it was important to speak up about our experience. “Tisheeka” or “Tisheeke” seemed annoyed, and irritated, she wouldn’t let me finish a full sentence with out talking over me. She said I “should have said something when it happened” which I did but she wouldn’t have known that because she refused to let me talk. She handled the entire situation horribly and upset me more over the fact she wouldn’t allow me to explain my experience. A man “Paulo” came standing over me staring at me while I tried to interact with the “manager” and finally asked me “what the problem was”. He too seemed annoyed I “asked for a different piece of cake” for he was the one who brought me the fist small corner piece (in which he seemed mad/annoyed I had the nerve to ask for a something that was supposed to be a dessert but ended up as my meal). I will never step foot in there again, the service was terrible and the food was bad. This could have been easily taken care of by a simple but genuine apology but I got lip, attitude, and an unprofessional response. Good luck if you go there but don’t expect good service or food for the price they charge.

I’ve been to Pacci’s several times for their Sunday brunch and loved it. They no longer offer it every Sunday. This was my first visit for dinner. Wish they had more vegetarian and fish options. The food was tasty and the service was attentive.

I have been patiently awaiting Pacci’s opening, as a previous Montgomery County resident, I loved their food at their Silver Spring location. Pacci’s Capitol Hill did not disappoint. The pizza and salad were terrific. Their crust is simply the best. The restaurant is bright and inviting. The waitstaff were quick and pleasant. The overall experience was just what I had hoped for. They are adding onto their lunch menu and have a few options that are not even listed yet (steak & cheese and Cuban sandwich with fries). I am overjoyed we have a great neighborhood restaurant in this space. Welcome to the Hill, Pacci’s.

I wasn’t planning to eat out tonight but was on my way home when a severe storm induced me to take shelter at Pacci’s. I had ordered pasta to go during the pandemic shutdowns and enjoyed it, but I’m not eating bread or pasta right now so I figured I’d have an app or a salad or something. Enter the specials list, which included salmon with mixed vegetables. Perfect, if I could just be sure they wouldn’t overcook it. I asked for medium rare even though it wasn’t a question offered to me. OMG, it was the best thing I’ve eaten in weeks. The salmon was *perfectly* cooked, and the vegetables were tender and bright-flavored with a hearty infusion of garlic. The mix of veg was great as well – perfectly wilted spinach, 2 kinds of mushrooms, ripe cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts with just enough texture… and the zucchini. I had just about convinced myself that I really didn’t like zucchini anymore. NEVER MIND, I TAKE IT ALL BACK. The restaurant is surprisingly big, with lots of little cozy nooks perfect for conversation or just catching up on your reading. Service is fantastic from top to bottom. Add a nice glass of Malbec, and man, next time there’s a thunderstorm I might “accidentally” find myself in the neighborhood again…
