Stopped in here for some sandwiches. They were okay.

Ordered a sandwich and a pineapple soda. The sandwich is $12 and quite bland to be honest, and i am not sure how cuban it is as it doesn’t taste anything special. The soda costs $3 and is kind a flat. I am definitely disappointed.

Their Cuban sandwich is huge. It tasted too much sour. The turkey and fat makes it more flavorful. It could be better by adding more fat and removing some pickles.

I’m Cuban, this is delicious Cuban food! But with a small caveat… My family is all Cuban, from Cuba. I grew up in Miami, Florida so naturally I eat a lot of Cuban food with my family. The Cuban sandwich is as close to authentic as there is in Columbus, BUT it’s not “true” Cuban bread. It’s very close and no one would know the difference unless you REALLY know, but not the true bread. The sandwich, tostones and croquetas were delicious! Pork was good but a little bland, could use a little more citrus and salt the two times I tried it. Truly great food and makes me proud to see my culture represented so well! But the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the highway robbery prices for the croquetas. They charge $10 for 4 which is downright insulting. I’ve made croquetas many times in my life, they’re not a 30 second task but they don’t use any expensive ingredients, are not difficult to make, are not time really consuming and NOT worth $2.50 a single croqueta. Let me clarify by saying Pablo’s has some of the best I’ve ever had, but in Miami we’d get them for .25 cents a piece. Sure, we’re not in Miami. I’m willing to pay a little premium for them here, but not that much. I’d buy them by the 100 if they were 50-$1.00 a piece. It’s truly insulting to charge that much for something so simple and not a dish, but a side.

Columbus Review
BUYER BEWARE THEY WILL DOUBLE CHARGE YOUR CARD. We were sure the payment went through the first time, but the guy called us back to the counter and said it didn’t. Turns out we were right and now have two charges. Tried calling twice to talk to them about it- they laughed at me and hung up. The second sent me to voicemail. North Market corporate was unsympathetic. Food is def not worth putting up with poor service. Breakfast sandwiches were questionable quality. This business and North Market as a whole def lost our business.

The storefront says “World Famous Cuban Sandwiches”. Ordered the ‘El Cubano’ sandwich…and what a WIMPY sandwich. For $11.50 the sandwich was small and the meat was literally one slice of cold cut ham. Nothing world famous about that!

Great place to go if you want food poisoning. We both got Cuban sandwiches and our stomachs felt absolutely destroyed after, and it’s the only thing in common that we ate today. Horrible stomach pain, like a rock in my stomach. Do not eat here.

The food was awful. They were out of several things that we tried to order. We got a Cuban which was just ok. We got the croquetas with ham they were so disgusting. The fries weren’t done, no salt and they had no ketchup. I’ve never written a complaint but this food was terrible.

Meh. My husband got the Cuban sandwich and it was nothing special. It has very little meat on it but was heavy on the mustard. We have had better Cuban sandwiches elsewhere in Columbus. I ordered the LeChon with black beans and rice and plantains. The plantains were fantastic, the rice was good, the beans were cold, and the pork was pretty good but not very flavorful. We love Cuban food but were disappointed with our meals, unfortunately. It’s too bad – we were so excited when we saw there was a Cuban spot at bridge park.
