The Khao man gai combo came with chicken fat rice and both types of chicken tasted great. I preferred fried but my friend liked the other cooking method. It probably comes down to personal preference. The fried pork belly was served with plain jasmine rice and tasted alright, probably because the chicken dishes outshined it.

Just like Bangkok Came all the way from Dallas for this wonderful dish… Khao Man Gai. We were not disappointed. The flavor of the garlic rice was on point, the chicken, soup and sauce were a perfect combination. Highly recommended Best to get there right when they open because they do sell out.

This is one of the top comfort food places in Austin for my husband and I. We loved the concepts this chef brought to Thai Kun and were super curious to see what he’d do here.

Delicious and unique – a really nice addition to the Austin foodie scene. The steamed chicken is moist and flavorful; mixed with the fatty rice and the special sauce (give me a gallon of this stuff, it’s delightful) you’ve got a wonderful, hearty serving of Asian comfort food. My dining partners indulged in the fried chicken over the fatty rice and it was very good (nice crust, good flavor, moist chicken), but not as good as the steamed version. There’s only about 15 chairs in a very informal dining area, so there’s nothing fancy about this place. The service was excellent, very knowledgable staff who made informed recommendations. I strongly recommend P Thai’s Khao Man Gai and I can’t wait to go back.

Located in Hong Kong market. Opened in July. Coming from SEA, I had to try it out. Tastes phenomenal and authentic. My only complain is on the price. Would come back or bring friends over when they feel homesick.

Really pleased with everything here. I haven’t had Khao Many Gai since we were in Thailand. This is some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The chicken skins are a must.

So amazing… It’s been a long time since we were so impressed by a restaurant. The chicken and soup are excellent. But the sauces are just beyond delicious! Can’t go wrong with whatever you order but I especially loved the classic Khao Man Gai.
