What a great diner, good food and great service. We stopped in for breakfast, my wife had chicken fried steak and eggs, with grits, I had the biscuits n gravy with eggs and ham. It was all delicious with big portions. The coffee was good too. Service was excellent with our coffee being filled before having to ask for her to fill them. The only negative is they don’t have real butter only toxic margarine spread, we’ll bring our own butter next time we come.

Down home atmosphere, great food what more could you ask for. Plus you can buy seasonal wreaths, home made fried pies. It’s Yummy. Only downside is they are only open until 3 pm. They serve Breakfast and Lunch only

Service was great. A bit slow and not very cozy. Egg sandwich was wonderful but the potatoes were not very good.

Finally! Catfish worth eating! Yea!! Can’t wait to go back to sample the whole menu. The dishes coming out of their kitchen all looked delicious and our waitress. THERESA, was so, so nice! Our new favorite restaurant!!

First time here today: informed breakfast ends at 11AM. So we went ahead and ordered sandwiches. I loved the BLT! Fries were okay~ I’ll be ordering another side instead next time.

A very nice small mom and Pop restaurant. The food quality and selection was great, especially for the price. It’s hard to find good food that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg these days. The staff was warm and welcoming although my younger brother went on his own, and had a different experience (younger parties beware). I’m sure I’ll be back sooner than later!

Love this small restaurant. All the servers help each other and even busy is not bad for some one with mild anxiety. Love their food. The best breakfast. Best salads!!! Good burgers!

I had a great little breakfast. Couple of scrambled eggs that were light and fluffy, grits, and some great rye toast. The coffee is really good at Owens so hats off to them. Then I saw them at the checkout , handmade beautiful turnover hand pies. All different kinds, Cherry, blueberry, blackberry, Peach, apple and coconut. I had to take three home. All the girls were great and I will be back

First time here. Was glad to see they had a lot of vegetable sides. I got cornbread salad, potato salad macaroni salad, roll, drink. The roll was great! Potato salad and slaw that my grandson got were awful. Macaroni salad was good. Every dish had an abundance of green peppers. If this is home cooking please don’t invite me to your house to eat. Husband had chicken and dumplings. Chicken was burnt and thrown on top of dumplings. His mashed potatoes were good. We weren’t told when ordering drinks that the diet coke was diet pepsi, which is totally different. Waitress, older, slim lady, was not friendly at all. Wasn’t asked how it was at the checkout nor thanked.

Complete rip off! I was traveling in the area and had time for a lunch break so I decided to stop at Owens since It had good reviews and was packed full of cars. Ordered the cod platter and got 2 pieces of Cod the size of my pinky, fries, and a small side of Cole slaw for $15…. I was shocked with how low the quality was for such a price. At least make the fries bearable. Would not recommend.
