Used to be my favorite place in Fairfax. Lately (last year) the management and quality had been creeping down while prices keep going up. Tonight, Saturday may 10th, was the last straw. A horrible manager, Lee, was very rude and charged us $1 for a soup when the menu didn’t say there was an extra charge for the clam chowder. We pointed out the lack of info on the menu and he said he was informing us verbally now and that it is obvious because one soup is 3,99 and the other 4,99.

Server was friendly. All good there. Asked for well done burger, it was very pink, medium well steak was red, had to send it back. Cheese fries came without bacon that was requested. Overall service from the kitchen was poor. Whether kitchen or instruction to kitchen it did not meet expectations.

Food was great, however the staff not so much. Sorta surprised they are closed but then again, maybe not. I’ll miss you Outback! Definitely recommend Outback, just not this one. They have some great combo deals with their steak/seafood + you get free bread, excellent butter. Maybe you can re-open someday and get better staff?! Will go to the next closest one.

They brought out one piece of meat on each plate and that was it. Yeah, they brought out a side salad 20 minutes before the steaks but it was not the type of presentation I was expecting for spending $50 for a meal for two.

This outback needs to learn to pick up its phone to take reservations. I’ve been waiting to get a hold of someone for at least 20 minutes and either the phone line is busy or nobody picks up for 5+ minutes. It’s a Tuesday night – they shouldn’t be that slammed that they can’t pick up their phone for a reservation.
