This was our first time dining here. We went in for the Saturday breakfast buffet. Times are 9 – noon. The food was great. The rooms are beautiful. They are decorated very nicely.

Stopped while traveling through Augusta looking for a local place where we could eat outside and see the river. Found Otto’s, and we were VERY pleased. Met all our requirements plus the food was great with very generous portions. Our group tried a lunch salad, a veggie quiche, a Reubens sandwich, and their open face turkey sandwich. They all were excellent, but the turkey was amazing. On Texas toast with stuffing, loads of fresh roasted turkey chunks, and a huge scoop of mash potatoes. It was a full dinner meal and then some for lunch. Best I’ve had in many years. Price was very reasonable for the food. Give it a try and I guarantee you’ll like it.

Chicken Marsala was amazing, I am 17 years old and I was absolutely blown away by how invested the owner was in his efforts to make the restaurant a better, perfect pace, well rounded environment. My parents ordered the seared duck, they compared it to Gordon Ramsey’s steak dinner! Service was amazing, no complaints whatsoever! 10/10 Kid approved.

Decided to change things up for our anniversary this year, went to Otto’s and Wow…we were blown away! The food was absolutely fantastic and our host accommodated all our needs. The atmosphere was relaxing, we were not rushed as in most other places. We were totally sold and Otto’s on the River has now become a place we will frequently go. We highly recommend them if you are looking for a great relaxing meal.

The staff was beyond friendly which was really nice. Otto was totally empty when I went there today, perhaps because of the winter storm outside, but the food was great. I asked for a mushroom Swiss burger but had the burger replaced with their bean burger. It may have been the best veggie burger I’ve ever had 🙂

By far the best meal we have had in Maine. The service was excellent. The drinks were amazing and one of a kind. We recommend the Caramel martini. The seafood scampi was delicious. The seared scallops with the maple glaze is out of this world. Great place to get a good quality meal that is well worth every penny.

The food quality did not reflect the prices. I ordered the lazy man lobster as a garnish ($45)for my filet and the side came before the steak that was raw and had to be sent back twice with the final time they microwaved it. They took the steak off the bill which was appreciated but I didn’t eat any of it. Also took over 40 mins for drinks and 1.5 hours for food we were the second table there.

Everything was SO GOOD OMG! My husband and I ordered a small Caesar salad and oysters as app and split the stuffed haddock seafood as meal. DELICIOUS! We got rose and cider. And the cheesecake was really really good. The service (our server was Steve) was awesome.
