The pasta was good but not worth $15 dollars without a vegan meat or side dish option. Restaurant is in a cafeteria/ food court building/ industrial barn situation with other restaurants. Could be nice if you can’t agree on what to eat.

My wife, a baker and vegan, made a delivery several doors down and stopped for lunch at Osteria Vegana. She had the mushroom focaccia and was impressed by the quality and taste of the bread and creamy olive oil. She also noticed the Italian oven (see picture) in the front. Chef Gianmarco explained the oven has a stone floor and can heat up to high temperatures to get that crispy, smoky charring on Italian breads and they expressed their own olive oil. They also are a scratch kitchen with little to no waste. As she waited for her order, Chef Gianmarco made her a light summer salad with a mildly spicy garlic house vinaigrette accompanied with focaccia. It was all delicious and she highly recommends it for all eaters looking for high quality Italian tastes.

Osteria Vegana is my new favorite go to place if I wanna eat out in Lansing. Everything I’ve tried there so far has been phenomenal. I’ve had the Risotto Fungi, the Pasta Rossa, and the Maitake Mushroom Pesto Pasta(pictured). Im excited for new special dishes they come up with in the future.

This place is amazing. I got the pasta Rossa, which is just fusilli pasta, red sauce, garlic, and basil. And it was delicious. It truly takes skill to make such a basic dish taste this good. The pasta was cooked in the sauce, and there was just the right amount of spice. I am excited to eat here again, and I highly recommend Osteria to anyone looking for great pasta made with quality ingredients.

I ordered to go, so I didn’t notice until I was home but I ordered the Pasta Verde Pesto which was supposed to come with tomatoes and red peppers and my husband ordered the summer special which was also supposed to come with vegetables and neither of ours did? It was just a ton of pasta covered in a little pesto for both our entrees. Feel a little ripped off paying that much for bow tie pasta and pesto, but I’d give it another chance as the pesto was pretty good and so was the bruschetta, but not going to get take out from here again.
