We came in the middle of the afternoon so there was no wait. We were suggested to order queso with chips and salsa by another business so we decided to stop by and have a meal. We ordered the Guy’s fish tacos, queso with chips and salsa and an order of the elote. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice flavor but queso was bland and we were a bit disappointed. The fish tacos were really yummy my husband doesn’t like lettuce so we got that on the side. The corn was a new experience for us. It tasted good but the amount of mayo on it was a bit too much for me I think it’s supposed to be that way but it’s something I wouldn’t get again. The service was great and the restaurant was clean.

We were in town for a concert at Roanoke Island Festival Amphitheater. We stopped here to eat before our concert. Love the outside seating at the front of the building. What a cool vibe. We ate inside, which had a fun, funky vibe as well. Our first encounter with our server was a bit off putting. He introduced himself, we hesitated for a moment on our drink orders and he seemed distracted. Then said he would be back in a minute without taking our order. We started to second guess our decision to eat here. But the rest of the evening things went great. All our drinks were very tasty. The food was delicious. We all ordered different dishes and tried bites of them all. Very impressed with all the dishes we had. The stuffed mushroom app and onion rings were amazing. So glad I ordered the onion rings as a side with my salad. Definitely a must try. The server made great suggestions throughout the meal. At the end of our meal my husband decided we should take a shot before we left. Our server recommended a tequila shot with a house made chaser. I don’t love the taste of liquor so I didn’t love it, but it was a huge hit with the rest of the group. Highly recommend this restaurant if your are in the area. The atmosphere is a great representation of the local area and serves amazing, fun and unusual dishes utilizing fresh catch/local fare. Mid level price and fun and trendy decor.

This was a nice place to dine in for a reasonable dinner. The food was good but the rice was undercooked or fried too hard. The flavor of the fish tacos were amazing though!! I’d highly recommend trying this. The restaurant was decent, but there was an old smell in there that was just a little off. Service was good as well.

Our first impression of the warm atmosphere and decor was nice (the unique tabletops were a nice touch). Our server was kind, efficient, and helpful. The food was adequate – not bad, not fantastic. For the price, (two drinks, two apps, and one entree for $72 w/ tip), I expected better taste. The wings were crispy and our best choice. Small things were issues – the spicy margarita seemed syrupy and not hand-crafted, and the menus and tabletops were a little sticky and worn. The location was convenient in a walkable location of town. With a few small adjustments, this spot would be worth a return visit to try other menu options.

Good service and food. Whitney was an attentive host. Unsure what qualifies this as a wine bar but there was a decent selection of drinks.l, in general. What was an amazing selection, the hot sauce. Holy cow! Our food was served very quickly and the fresh chips for the nachos made my day. Happy with our meal and service. But don’t come here solely for the wine bar. Come here solely for the homemade tortillas chips!
