More than food, Oriental Bar and Grill is an experience from the moment you pull into the parking lot.

Terrible – first time ordering today and it was terrible – tons of burnt fried rice that I wouldn’t feed to my dog…. Sushi was not fresh – I contacted the restaurant to let them know and they could care less….

A very good Chinese restaurant that the local Chinese Population. Go to. I know that because when we went all aging people would in the restaurant, which is very good sign, The food was really good. You only had appetizers with five people and drinks and a bill Came to $105. Which we was surprised. How the bill wasn’t that bad? I recommend this Restaurant.

If you’re looking for a place to get some dim sum for breakfast/brunch on the weekends, this place may strike your interest. They have a pretty vast selection of dim sum to choose from, so I’m pretty sure you’ll find something you’ll like if you’re willing to try things out or a first timer of this Chinese cuisine/cultural experience. I would recommend going with a friend that’s experienced so they can further explain what is on their dim sum menu, sometimes the translation from Chinese to English isn’t as precise. If you already had the cultural experience of dim sum, you’ll find most of the things on the menu familiar. We’ve ordered a bunch of dim sum that we would normally get at a restaurant that serves dim sum. I would recommend at least trying the egg custard tart, its a pastry that has nice balance of sweet, eggy, buttery that would melt in your mouth when you bite into it, one of my favorite dishes to order. I would advise you to get there before 11am for the weekends for dim sum since tables fill up quick once everyone wakes up and decide to go get breakfast/brunch.

Asian American crowd in a family friendly atmosphere. Dishes were amazing and authentic. A friend from Hong Kong treated us to a delightful array of new flavors. The menu is Chinese and English. Prices are reasonable and portions seem to be in multiples of 3….?

Got Dim Sum for the first time today. The friendly staff came and explained how it worked and made recommendations. Every piece of food we ordered was delicious. And affordable! We ordered enough for 3 people and it was just over $30. Well deserved 5 stars – can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

What a great place in eastern CT. Definitely a great stop for some dim sum. You would think the two casinos in the area would have some serious Asian food like dim sum, but they don’t. This place in the middle of nowhere (eastern part of the state by the casinos) is truly a gem. The chicken feet, noodles, veggies, tarts are awesome! Must try if you’re visiting the casino either coming here before or after stopping at the casinos. Price are very reasonable, parking no issue, situated between both the casino.

Solid Asian cuisine for CT. I’d recommend coming here than eating at the casinos. We’re had dim sum and it was delicious. They offered a good variety of traditional plates along with some regional favorites. Not too overwhelming for the non adventurous eater which can be important to some families. I’d definitely give it a try if you’re local and want something unique and different.

So far I’ve been here 4 times for lunch and only order dim sum. For $15 after tip you can eat like a king and get tasty tea. The wait staff is always attentive and friendly. They have a very authentic menu for dim sum so be open minded and ready to experiment. I’ve tried the meat jelly and boiled chicken feet. As an American I’m not accustomed to eating things like this so although not my cup of tea, the flavor was great. I should eventually venture to the other menu items but for now I’m still experimenting on the dim sum. Great service, beautiful spot and spacious. Pictured is the parsley steamed rice rolls, coconut pudding, stuffed spicy peppers, pork pie. Do your self a favor and eat here.
