My family has been coming here for over 30 years. It had been awhile since I was there. I was so happy everything was still delicious!! Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. I need to make sure to get back to the old neighborhood more often for this tasty treat!

Great food and service. I met a refugee that was asking for work or food. So I took her to the Orange Garden Restaurant and bought us a meal. While we waited for our food, I ran to the store to take out a few bucks and came back. Our food was ready but I was giving the refugee cash so we took a minute. During this time the lady came over and I apologized for taking so long to leave but just then she said no worries take your time. She then said your mom is nice and I explained she wasn’t my mother but was instead a refugee looking for work. This lady quickly grabbed utensils and paper plates to add to the bag and then she continues with her tips. She even gave her money from her own person. I thanked her and told her I already gave her some money and food for the day. Her kind lecture response was “that’s okay, she needs it, I know”. Once again we thanked her and left with our food. Sorry for the long post but today I had good food and good service.

Its been told that this neighborhood restaurant will close by next year and Pumpkin’s Corgan bought the neon sign, so I had to try it out. Its a Friday in early May 2022 and first thing you notice is that its packed. Every time the door opens theres a buzz announcing your arrival. And it seems that there is 10x take-away for every table occupied. All good signs!!! The portions are huge and the food is very tasty. I personally enjoyed the hot/sour soup. It was hot (temperature) and the sour was a good pucker factor. The string bean combo (chicken/beef/shrimp) was very good. And so was the combo fried rice. The crab rangoons was a bit too soft not quite crunchy like I am used to. The service was a bit slow but i was okay with that cause it seemed they were short staffed. But service was friendly and accurate. Tables were a bit too close to the booths but I will visit again before the retirement of the owner.

Don’t waste your time, money or appetite. The food is tasteless, awful and definitely not made with care or love. My egg foo young had eggshells in it. The orange chicken was awful in taste and appearance. The pepper steak was undercooked and cut so thick we almost choked trying to chew and swallow it. The sweet and sour chicken was more like chicken strips and extremely greasy and underwhelming. The sweet and sour sauce was so watery it was pathetic. The best part of our meal was the fortune cookies. The rest was dedicated to the garbage. YUCK!!!!!

Wonderful experience, I had the “war Bar” which is what this is. So much food for a good price! Will try the beef

My disappointment is profound. An absolute failure. At least our host was hella nice.

Huge portions, great prices. Two egg rolls were enough for a meal. My friend wanted pressed duck: she was not disappointed. Nice service.

Oh man. First time coming to this place, but I’ve past it a couple thousand times. It was great. Hot tea was great, portions were great. Definitely coming back here a lot. One of the better sit down Chinese restaurants I’ve been to.

Huge portions of delicious food for remarkably reasonable prices, an especially pleasant surprise in the 2023 economy. Better than most of China Town. Highly recommended!
