I was here Sunday morning with my parents when they opened. I never knew there was a Mediterranean spot here in Walnut Creek. I’d always drive by and I’m glad I saw this. The waitress was helpful because my mom has celiac disease and they were helpful on what dish she can eat without having to interact a problem. For those have gluten free issues, don’t you worry. This was the best food I can rate. The pita bread and gyro meat was delicious. I enjoyed every bite of it. Street parking is available but it is enforced so be sure to pay the meter. They have indoor and outdoor seating along with a bar in the middle. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Delicious! I had them remove the head of the fish. The dish is plated in layers of sautéed spinach, onions and roasted potatoes that’s off to the side.

5 of us went there on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn’t busy at all. The dim sampler was amazing, and the pita by itself was delicious. I got pasticio (beef & pork pasta casserole), and it was decent. The pasta was undercooked, so some pieces were crunchy. All the portions were big and most of us didn’t finish what we ordered. There is a parking garage 2 blocks away. That’s where we parked.

Great Friday lunch at Opa Walnut Creek. Went to Greece recently with my family and was looking for something authentic! The tzatziki was delicious with fresh pita and loved the Greek salad! The service was great as we were chatty and the server gave us time to review the menu while also enjoying the lovely patio! Will go back!

Fabulous lunch at Opa! My lunch partner and I decided to share a few appetizers and a salad. We had the Frito Misto, a nice mix of calamari, green beans and onions; the spanakopita, a lighter version then I’ve had in other Greek restaurants, but so good; a spread sampler with tzatziki, fiery feta and kalamata all with pita bread; dolmas and a Greek Chopped salad with gyro meat.

We hit Opa! for a Friday Date night this weekend and it did not disappoint. I was a bit disappointed when my wife chose Greek for dinner, since most places tend to be a bit mundane with the menu selections and a tad greasy with the food. But then we went to Opa!

I really wanted to give it more stars but……ordered the whole “Mediterranean sea bass”. It was a fairly small fish for $42 and not easily identifiable as to what kind of fish it actually was. Came out on a plate, head & all and the server refused to debone it. So naturally, when I tried to, it fell apart. It wasn’t the easiest or most appetizing thing to eat. I was expecting a more meaty, butterflied, deboned & seasoned fish that had some Greek flavor at least, which this didn’t. Unimpressed.

A cute Mediterranean place with good food and friendly staff. We had brunch with baklava waffles and a gyro pita. The waffles didn’t really have the baklava flavor, but still good.

Love this place. Great atmosphere, live music, servers are awesome and the food is amazing. I always have the grand opa sangria and I get the bougatsa for dessert. The flaming cheese and the Lamb chops are to die for!
