The Best Soul Food Ever!!! We drive all of the way from Oakcliff to get this amazing food. The food is so delicious each and every time we go. It’s always fresh and clean inside and outside of the restaurant. Love the owner she’s so passionate about her business and loves to see people happy from eating her food. The menu choices varies with so many different dishes that you can have something different everyday. My favorites are the smothered pork chops, beef tips and rice, cabbage, fried fish and meatloaf. Just to name a few.

Found this listed on Visit Mesquite site and was curious. Their hours of operations info conflict with what is stated on their website vs Google. This was my first time trying it out.

Y’all this food was so Fire !!!! Im not lying even a little bit. From the time I walked in to the time l left . I felt welcomed. While I waited for my food. Latrece offered me a piece of the white German chocolate cake. Babyyyy Listen! Y’all the cake was melting in my mouth. I ordered smothered pork chops, greens and Mac. The lemonade is home made. I wanted to go back for seconds … The environment was clean and presentable , the hospitality was so beautiful , nothing short of good vibes. Definitely my new spot … and it’s in a safe area . I love it . Thank you for leaving an imprint. See y’all soon.

Being from out of town, my friends and I wanted something to eat that we couldn’t get at home and we wanted to support a black owned business!! First off let me say that the food was great! Meatloaf. Candied yams. Black eyed peas. Cornbread. My friends said the beef tips were tender and delicious and the smothered pork chop was amazing. (Home made gravy was on point!!!)

Mother/Grandmother from the south eating good food outside of your personal cooking can be hard to find especially when you are an excellent cook yourself.

I hate to do bad reviews. But when it start out with bad customer service I already have my eyebrows raised. But I still gave it a chance. Meatloaf and yams have a distinct taste. Mac and cheese wasn’t bad. Cornbread was not for me. I like mine sweet. The establishment was nice. One couple came in after us and they told them they couldn’t dine in. I won’t be back
