I had been looking forward to getting some Hawaiian Food again once I touched down in California. I really can’t say that I’m satisfied with my meal. I chose this place due to high reviews and the menu. I ordered the Chicken Katsu lunch plate. Let’s just say that my chicken looked liked it wasn’t cooked all the way through and it also looked like it was a bad piece of chicken. I couldn’t really enjoy my plate like I wanted to. At least the rice and Mac salad was good though.

Mahalo! Our quest for a tasty meal brought us to Ono Hawaiian BBQ Restaurant in Paramount, California. The food and flavor of Ono’s Hawaiian BBQ had us reminiscing about our meals in Waikiki. You can’t go wrong with delicious Hawaiian inspired food like BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef & Kalbi Short Ribs served with rice & macaroni salad. It’s a fusion of Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean and American dishes all rolled into one. No indoor/outdoor dining at this time but the restaurant was well lit, clean with a welcoming atmosphere.

Employees have no food safety awareness! My order was “no rice, macaroni salad only”. The employee accidentally put rice. Then he GRABBED THE RICE IN MY PLATE WITH HIS HAND, PUT THE RICE BACK TO THE WARMER, THEN GRABS MEAT WITH THAT SAME HAND TO PUT IT ON THE PLATE
