Went here after hiking in Carley State Park based on a recommendation from a coworker, and the experience was great all around! The pub atmosphere and decor are well-done, cozy, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive (Thanks, Brian!). And the food was delicious! Had the Greek salad, Fab Five pizza, double chocolate stout beer, and pumpkin bread pudding for dessert. It was the perfect food celebration after hiking all afternoon (and getting caught in a downpour!). Will definitely be back!

I lived only 50 feet from this place for about 2 years and only ate there once. This is the only restaurant in Elgin too btw. I ordered a large supreme pizza and what I thought were buffalo chicken wings. I got the food only 10 minutes later and brought it home to eat. The pizza was literally just like a cheap paper thin crust frozen Jack’s and it honestly didn’t taste as good as a Jacks. The toppings were pathetic, diced tiny and had no flavor. The pizza was way overpriced for what you got and it was sad that a “Pizza place” would serve such bland pizza. The “Chicken wings” we’re disgusting! They were just 3 medium sized plain breaded chicken fingers that were obviously microwaved. The meat was dry and had tons of nasty looking cartilage and dark spots. I have no idea how this place has such a high rating on Google. Another smaller point to make is they are only open until 8:00pm on both Friday and Saturday night!

We were really bummed when O’Niell’s left Rochester, MN. Then, we drove past the O’Niell’s in Elgin, MN. Could it be the same pizza? Would the

So glad to see this place resurrected! It was always a favorite in Rochester. We had the Greek pizza with gyro meat and it was EXACTLY as I remembered it, right down to way they make the crust, with the little folds around the outside. A real treat – can’t wait to come back ❤️

Excellent! We had the House Pizza, lotsa meat and cheese and that cracker thin crust really hit the spot! Really nice Irish vibe in the pub, charming bare brick walls, rich paint colors, booths with old church pews. The bar is center stage and the back bar is really attractive and well-stocked! Jukebox adds nostalgic ambiance; Brian the owner gave me a buck, and I played 10 great golden oldies songs! Wait staff is polite & prompt and the cook actually takes pride in his work and apologized for messing up the edge of the crust and made us an extra (small) pizza to make up for it! Reminds me of Cheers in Boston — only better! Well done Mr. O’Neill!! We’ll be back for sure!

The atmosphere was friendly and inviting right away. Our server stopped to chat and made sure we were taken care of. All our food was delicious and came to the table pretty quickly. The rootbeer was especially good, it had more of a vanilla flavor to it which I’m sure goes well with their rootbeer floats. The whoopee cake was recommended to us and was delicious without leaving a heavy feeling that some chocolate deserts can bring. Everything was clean, and we left happy.

Small town pub offering cracker thin crust and a lighter side of sauce. Our Fab Five came with sausage, mushrooms, Canadian bacon, double cheese and we exchanged the spicy Greek peppers with regular green peppers. The lighter sauce, a bit different, did allowed you taste and enjoy the toppings more. The interior is a narrow seating area offering booths on one side and some tables down the middle. The place was clean and nicely decorated with “the luck of the Irish.” Staff were extremely friendly and food came within a reasonable time. One drawback is they do not accept credit or debit cards, so bring cash or the checkbook. Understandably being a small business, fees do add up and eat away at their profits.

Amazing pizza, great customer service, down home feel. I remember when this place was still located in Rochester, still the same awesome small town pizza joint.
