While the owner was very short handed, he was also a phenomenal cook with an engaging personality. My wife and I tried 2 of the many specials listed and both our meals were delicious. We were happy with everything including rice & blackbeans, sweet plantains, fried okra, shrimp in hot honey butter broth and conch in cajun butter broth. The portions were generous and we left very satisfied, but sad we were just passing through the area on a long road trip so won’t be able to make this a regular stop.

I must say I have never been to this place until today but they gained a new customer! I’m a Food critic and I love good food!!let me tell you everything tested AMAZINGLY Flavorful! The shrimp Mac delicious, cabbages,ox tail were tender and fell off the bones! The sea Bass treated fresh and the sauce it was in was Like a taste of heaven. Definitely will be returning! Thanks❤️ THE ISLAND PUNCH OMGGGGGG!!!!

Just finished our first meal here and we’re already talking about how we can’t wait to return when we’re in the area again. The staff is so welcoming, the music engaging, and the food excellent! We had the coconut garlic honey shrimp over coconut rice with sweet plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection with tastes blending in a way that kept me sighing with satisfaction – literally. Owners were super friendly & helpful. Allowed us to sample the house made drinks before making a drink choice, tons of specials. Lots of love in this building from the food to the energy inside. So so YUMMY! Live about 2 hours away in Valdosta will Definitely be making the trip again & again!!!

It was my first time there after reading all the great reviews and now I see why! The chef is so friendly and helpful. All the staff is wonderful. I only got the wings this time to try but you bet I’ll be back. The pineapple wings were amazing!!!! I want more !!! 10 was not enough. Is there a better word than delicious how about the bomb ! Straight fire! I can’t eat spicy and these were not they were perfect! This will be my go to wing place and I’ll be trying other things there as well. So glad I found this place! Also don’t forget to get his homemade drinks they’re the best.

Stopped by after reading the amazing reviews after working in the area. When we walked in the owner instantly greeted us and started our order, letting us know what was polular, and told us about their special drinks! Both the Guava Lemonade and the Island Punch are both must tries, and it was worth getting both of them. She was super friendly, and the cook was amazing. The jerk chicken with jasmine rice with coconut and cabbage was some of the best food I have ever had. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly and the chicken was juicy and came right off the bone. The place itself is extremely clean and decorated well, all while feeling very spacious. I will be recommending this place to all my coworkers! Huge thanks to the cook and host, amazing food, service, and owners.

The owner/chef was AMAZING! Food was prepared and seasoned perfectly! I got the salmon and shrimp with the shrimp Mac and cabbage and was so IMPRESSED! This guy knows what he’s doing in that kitchen! Good music, friendly atmosphere, we WILL return!

I have no idea why this restaurant doesn’t have a line out the door everyday. Chef Trent’s food is amazing, and he is funny and charming. If you go be aware that he is shorthanded, and cooks each dish fresh so you will have to be patient…. but it is SO WORTH IT!!! Run , don’t walk for some One Love Island and Soul Food!!!!
