I really like this spot. I’ve been here two times and had a better experience the first time (dinner w/ wife).

One of those places which we will try again and try something different.

The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because our waitress was very nice and understanding considering the experience we had. For starters, it took quite some time to have someone take our drink order & we waited pretty long to get those drinks too. The dip for the pretzel sticks we ordered resembled raw dumpling batter. Our waitress then brought us our food. This is where things went really bad. My husbands food was TERRIBLE! He had the beef stroganoff. The sauce was gross and the beef chunks were inedible. Neither one of us could chew them. He ordered a Caesar salad with steak slices on top to replace it. We waited. And waited. And waited. By now he was disgusted and we decided to just have the salad cancelled and the items removed from our bill. Mind you, the restaurant wasn’t extremely busy at all. Rather our waitress told us the guy in the kitchen was the only one cooking and he was slacking. Perfect service for the busy memorial Day weekend right? I must say that my food was yummy. I had fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. I also had the northern lights cocktail which was good too.

I’m not sure I could recommend this place for breakfast. It’s an excellent location and the space is attractive, but we had a mediocre experience. We came at 9 on a Sunday morning, which I realize can be a busy time, but they clearly don’t have enough people working service. They told us the kitchen was backed up when we arrived but instead of seating us at one of several empty tables and at least giving us coffee, we waited for 20 minutes to get a table. Our server was very friendly and capable but it looked like she was working almost the entire room, so it was a long time between coffee refills and checking on us. The avocado toast was delicious and the coffee was very good. The breakfast sandwich was adequate. One order of breakfast potatoes was good but cold; the other tasted like they had been cooked in burnt oil. The place has potential; a few tweaks would make a big difference.

Food was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive. The crab dip was very good but I was surprised when it was ice cold – I think it may be better warmed. Not much variety of items on the menu. No celery and carrots to go with wings. The ranch was definitely house made and was delicious. The restaurant was very clean.

I’m sharing this review in an effort to provide information to the management. I know a business can not fix something they do not know is broken. Our breakfast was not good. My scrambled eggs were runny, the toast came with no butter, the bacon was the only thing that was okay. My potatoes, honestly, I’m not even sure they were potatoes. They were orange and had an awful taste. What was really bad though was my wife’s oatmeal. It was a soupy mess that looked like something that would be ladled into a 19th century prison soup bowl. It was to come with a few things, but it only came with some blueberries. She requested some sugar and even after that, it was still not edible. However, the service was good and we were seated quickly. We ate, or at least attempted to, outside and it’s a great location as we stayed at the adjoining hotel. While I won’t say don’t eat here, perhaps you should just make sure you’re getting the quality of the food you would expect when you order. And hey, maybe they’re really good at lunch and dinner.

Stopped in for lunch. The service was fantastic, and the food came out quickly. There were just 2 of us, and we both really enjoyed our meals. Everything was delicious. My one and only gripe was how far the bathrooms are, and they’re a little hard to find. That won’t deter me though, I will definitely stop in again.

Absolutely amazing food! The next day I am still talking about how delicious everything was. The flavor was absolutely mouthwatering and perfectly paired with accompaniments listed on the menu (crab stuffed scallops and portobello sandwich on gluten free bun, even the bun was good!) Kudos to the chef and a special thank you for double checking on any allergies given what I ordered and the new server we had. Top notch service! Atmosphere was relaxed, yet nice and an upscale feeling. Highly recommend and you have got to try the sweet potato fries! Even if you don’t like sweet potatoes, these fries may change your mind. Best I have ever had!

I will agree with the last comment. Maybe management does not know this establishment is broken. We were the only people in the restaurant. The food took 20 mins and my breakfast pizza came out cold. My husband had eggs bendict. He said his was fine, and shared with me. Thank goodness he did. My pizza came out lukewarm the 2nd time. I got upset, and insisted the pizza be taken off the check. The sever was ok. She did her best to fix the situation. I will never return. Food gets 1 star because 0 was not an option.

At the historic Gettysburg Hotel I expected excellent cocktails and food. Not so much. Had a NY strip that seemed like it came from a discount meat source. Didn’t seem like a strip. It’s not hard to cook a great steak, but these folks definitely do not. And what is it with adding soda water to Old Fashioneds?? Staff was really nice, though.
