The dessert! The Brownie DESSERT is freaken amazing. Hot and yummy wow. Wow. Wow. The bar is FUN at this On the Border. Raul and Orlando outstanding service. This is the place for drinks, fun and food. Quick service very nice service and hospitality. Our margaritas are always perfect and tasting on the rocks. The food is excellent for a American style Mexican food. The restaurant is well kept and the waitresses are on point. We haven’t experienced a busy time but our Tuesdays, Wednesday’s and especially Thuraday have been pretty awesome. The Guac and chips freshly made and yummy. The Ultimate Fajitas and the Smokehouse Fajitas are GREAT and my wife and I always order both so we can enjoy the grill chicken, grill shrimps, steak, ribs, sausages, braised carnitas and brisket. They put excellent effort on the beans and rice which is rare in restaurants. Everything is tasty and sizzling when served.

Came in to get a large table ready for our large group. Hostesses were a little giggly and unattentive. Finally seated, server finally showed up. Again very slow to return. One of our party actually got up and went to the bar for her refill. Our meal arrived. Food was pretty good. Still slow to get refills or any attention. Basically food tastes good, but service was not so good. But everyone has a bad day, so would try again, next time in town.

Our server was so friendly and so kind. She was so great with our kids and perfectly timed our service. On top of that, our food was delicious! We’ll be back.

My sister and I were doing a little shopping in the commons so we stopped at On the Border for drinks & dinner. This was Wednesday evening, the hostess met us at the door & there was no wait to be seated. Unfortunately our waitor was MIA. My sister walked over to a couple servers to see if our server could be located, luckily 1 of these servers was our server. Said he’d be over & then- you guessed it-he went MIA again! Lol

We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Great food, drink, and service at this location. I really dug the beer chandelier and oversized tequila bottles on the wall. They also apparently have weekly lunch specials that I took photos of for reference.

The food was excellent, but the service was slow and poorly coordinated. For some reason, we had to ask the server four times to get our chips refilled (once) and our drinks refilled. My food came over five minutes after they served my family and once my food came, the rice was cold.

We just celebrated my Mom’s 80th birthday here and the service, food and drinks were wonderful. Giovanni did an amazing job (there were 25 of us!!) and he was on top of everything. From the hostesses to the cooks and the servers – it was everything that we wanted. Thank you On The Border – Algonquin for making this a night of celebration and great food for all of us!!

This used to be one of my favorite places but since COVID is rapidly gone downhill. Ordered a chimichanga and asked if it would be crispy they assured that it would. It came out like a soggy burrito, not even sure if it was deep-fried. Ordered premium drinks and questioned if there was even any tequila in it. Sure didn’t taste any. All the drinks at our table were lame except for bottled beer. Like I said this used to be one of our favorite places now I’m not sure if we’ll ever go back. Start getting sloppy and cheap then expect to loose customers.

The choose your own combo is a good was to if you want some variety. The tortilla soup is actually a substantial bowl and is actually worth what they charge for it. The refried beans need some help. They are very bland.
