Omar’s is great. Bustling, casual order-at-the-counter restaurant serving authentic middle eastern food (falafel, shawarma, etc). Quick and efficient, great for lunch. Can order to go or stay and eat in the dining area in the back half of the space. The veggie combo is great and filling. Friendly staff, tasty foods

One of the great things about NYC is that sometimes you walk into an unassuming local restaurant and find a delicious meal. The garage attendant next door made the recommendation and the lunch and service did not disappoint. Delicious chicken shawarma , hummus, eggplant accompanied by piping hot and fluffy pita bread. Also, Angelica—helps customers in the dining room — was a delight. I highly recommend.

This place is absolutely delicious. Definitely a little pricey for a lunch spot, but you get a lot of food.

the lamb is good. the pita is good. the pita dipped in hummus is gassed. but be careful about eating this at work, it will make you feel really drowsy and tired.

The true original fast casual. Great food, great service. Gala and his guys do a good job getting food out. Angelica gave great service. Take advantage of the empty dining room.

Came here on May 22nd for dinner with a friend. Food was just decent, overpriced for what you get. My friend used to come here often for lunch and said their hummus is not as good as it used to be, and portions noticeably smaller. Server was very sweet. For some reason, there was no tap water available for dine-in at the tables. It was something like $4 or $5 for a drink, canned soda or bottled water (not any fancy kind, either). This is the first time I’ve ever encountered a sit down restaurant in NYC that has no tap water provided for customers. Would never come back.

Amazing! Got the pita shawarma with baklava, I also ordered a side of eggplant, The food was great & surpassed my expectations. The environment was middle eastern oriented which also made me feel at home. Will definitely be returning.
