This food was so gross I threw it in the trash. Mac n cheese was like pasturized glue, the chicken tasted like burnt bread and the sauce they used for “chicken fajitas” was watery… Told all my friends to steer clear.

Disappointing. Nachos were plain- corn chips, cheese and bbq sauce $9, or add brisket (was cold) for $10. Way over priced for the size and taste. Half slab rib was cold too! My husband and 2 y.o. We’re still hungry when we left. AND the owners did not seem friendly.

Threw it all in the trash. Inedible. The driest piece of chicken I’ve ever had. Didn’t even appear to be grilled. Just a piece of reheated chicken with sauce on it. Cole slaw was brownish and tasted off.

I love Olivera’s barbeque sauce, and their brisket and their ribs! Which is why I was very disappointed today when I ordered their chicken fajita that was served with cold vegetables and cold chicken. (The sauce and flavor of the chicken was still AMAZING)

Tasted like I ate a charcoal grill. Membrane not removed from ribs extremely fatty and chewy.. spent I’ve 10.00. 3 bites And I threw it away.. went to the pizza place next door.. potato salad zero flavor.. if you’re going to advertise award winning BBQ then that is what should be served

First off, you have to take the membrane off the ribs before cooking them. For me that is pretty much a deal breaker. You can’t chew it and it doesn’t allow any spices or smoke to get to the meat. Secondly, my half slab had very little meat on it and was dried out like it had been sitting all day. I won’t be back.

This is not Texas barbeque. I grew up in Texas and if there is one thing on earth that I can do well, it is smoke a beautiful brisket. Olvera’s brisket had no pink smoke ring at all, and instead of a crisp, savory bark it had a burnt crust. The meat was not very tender. They are cooking it for too short a time at a higher heat, and I doubt that they are starting with the right brisket with enough fat. And this is NOT Texas barbeque sauce. Too sweet, not enough vinegar, and it looks pink on the plate. Order a bottle of the real stuff from Rudy’s or Luling and you’ll see what I mean. I was disappointed.

I had to ask for their ribs without barbecue sauce as I have allergies to items in the sauce however their smoked ribs were the best I’ve EVER had and I’ve had plenty all over the United States . Worth every penny!
