Been here a few times and it never disappoints. The avocado toast (with a salmon twist) is so good, all three of us got the same thing. Comes with a side of roasted potatoes that are SUPER good. We all had an espresso martini which is really strong, so no need for more than one cocktail.

My friend and I decided to do an all appetizer dinner and we had the crispy polenta, rustic bread, big Italian salad, and the buttata. The only thing that wasn’t a home run was the salad, there was too much dressing and the garbanzo beans add a strange texture to the salad. Our server Jamie she was amazing!

This restaurant was amazing! Don’t listen to the Karens on here who give bad reviews because they think it’s expensive or because they arrived 30 before the restaurant closes with their family and didn’t get seated. You can expect that from a nice restaurant. That’s not discrimination folks, that is standard policy for the food industry. Jamie was our waitress and she was outstanding! She brought us dessert because it was our 22nd wedding anniversary and everything we ordered was delicious! They don’t give bread for free, so definitely order the bread appetizer, which comes with whipped olive oil, and that is so good! I’m not super cultured, so I got the margarita pizza which had amazing huge basil leaves on top of it and some of the best mozzarella cheese I’ve ever tasted. We did order one alcoholic beverage, top shelf, which was also delicious! My husband ordered the Wagyu beef, which was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted. The chef here is very talented! As to the price, it wasn’t the cheapest dinner we’ve ever been to, but it definitely wasn’t the most expensive. I think $55 for Wagyu beef is very reasonable. If you are on the fence about trying this restaurant after looking at some of these other reviews, don’t be. I should also add that we came in at 5:30, early, and were virtually the first people in the restaurant. I think if you come at a peak time without a reservation, you might also find that you have to wait to be seated. Again, that’s normal. Thanks for a great dinner, Olive and Hay!

Came to Napa with the wife, my best friend and his girl and stayed at the Meritage Resort and Spa. This restaurant was on the property so we decided to check it out. We had a reservation and were sat right away after we got there. I can’t remember what drinks we had (that kind of day), but they were good! Lol. We started w/bread and butter, the bread was warm and soft, the butter was a little salty, but good. My boy and his girl started w/the Spring Panzanella salad, which they shared w/us. It was good, although I don’t really like peas in my salad. For mains, my boy and I ordered the American Wagyu NY Strip. It was good, but some bites were salty because we were told the chef topped the steaks w/salt. The wife had the Rigatoni which she thought was ok. My bff’s girl ordered the Halibut en Brodo. She thought it was ok. I tasted it, and it was pretty good. She didn’t like that it came in a broth.

My husband and I had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was EM for Emily who was courteous and friendly and very professional. I asked her for her opinion on the menu and it was spot on! We started with the Burrata which was absolutely delicious! We never had it before and it was such a nice surprise. I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore and wow what a flavor explosion! The chicken was tender and juicy and had a lovely crispy exterior. The sauce was completely delicious! My husband ordered the spaghetti and he was in heaven. He loved every bite and said the sausage was not spicy at all. We had bread that was warm and full of flavor. At the end of the dinner we were pleasantly surprised by the Italian donuts! Little donuts with a delicious cream in the center and the waitress poured hazelnut chocolate all over them. It was served with amazing ice cream! It was a perfect dining experience!

Summertime brunch is one of the best things in the world. Clear blue sky’s and great food is a combination that really makes you feel alive! Olive and Hay makes achieving this one step easier. The decor is clean, fresh and open without being sterile. The restaurants approach to garden to table selections was bursting with flavor with every bite. Maria and the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Started with pizza. The honey really set off the heat of the sauce and sausage. The bread was fresh, warm and incredible. Spaghetti was with the same sausage as the appetizer, but really needed the honey to soften the heat. The pasta was fresh but was over powered by the heat of the sauce. The Tagatelli was soft and held the sauce well. Meatballs were really tasty and the pasta would have shone with pasta together. The Italian donuts for dessert stole the show, they truly melted in your mouth with the warm chocolate topping. After a month :
