First timer and boy do I have a lot to say… Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating.. She always made sure we didn’t run out of anything and always had a smile on her face .. The owner of Ole Gin Steakhouse made it a point to meet and greet new customers and take our pictures. That made us feel important …. We had appetizers, Fried Green tomatoes which were so delicious and mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. They gave us homemade biscuits (which were so soft and delicious ) while we waited for our meal. I had New York Strip Steak with a baked potato.. OMG!!! The best New York Strip Steak I’ve ever had!!! If you live in Section, Alabama you’ve got to stop and try this place.. You’ll leave a happy camper…

Our party of 4 was promptly seated and our drink order was taken right away.. we ordered two appetizers and they were brought out in a timely manner.. the fried green tomatoes are delicious.. we placed our order for the entrees and our salads were brought out and we were given time to finish them before we received our main course.. I had the Filet Mignon and baked potato.. both were cooked to perfection and delicious.. everyone in our party was very satisfied with the food and service.. excellent restaurant..

The steak was amazing. Top 5 of any I have been served. Can’t say much for anything else because I was so amazed with the ribeye. The dessert selection was top notch and they were homemade. Don’t let the location turn you off. Bring cash! They offer a 10% discount when paying with cash!

Where to start been debating on trying this place for a while. Because I think it is the same place as the buck pocket steak house which I never cared for anyway just different location and name well I ate here 5-06 -23 had the new York strip special ordered my steak medium well to well done it was so fatty I couldn’t eat it found 3 bites I could eat the baked potato was lukewarm when I went to pay was asked how was everything I said not great my steak was so fatty I couldn’t eat it and all was said was it’s the type of steak I ordered NO I have ate New York strip at several restaurants like Texas Roadhouse, Outback . And o’bryans I have even ate better steak ( not new York strip ) off buffets and it’s not the steak’s fault the only discount was for paying with cash I wasted my time and money will not be back or recommend highly disappointed should have just went to Huntsville

Amazing steaks! The collard greens are excellent, very cool atmosphere. Get there early!!!! Before they open or it’s gonna be a wait, I suggest at least 45 mins early, seriously. They fill up fast but it is absolutely worth it

Does this look like a $22 plate… supposed to have been a 12oz. HB steak, when I inquired, they said…”yeah, we knew we were running short on ground beef”, so I was given a 6 oz. patty, thinking I wouldn’t say anything.

This place is the real deal. Great food and a great experience. Do not come here if you want quick impersonal service. This is a place that you go to with people you enjoy their company and conversation. Seems like every table the owner takes a picture of to post on their Facebook page, a unique tradition that shows they care about the customer.
