We came up from the Tampa area to go riding at Carolina Adventure World and figured we would try restaurants from the surrounding areas. We chose the Olde Town Hall Restaurant and it did not disappoint! Husband got the shrimp and grits and absolutely loved it! I got the meatloaf and really liked the flavor. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had with a hint of cinnamon on them! Staff was friendly, place was clean and really cool vibe in such an old building. Definitely worth the drive! Thank you!

Our first time there. The service and food was great. This was great date night. Plan on going back for burgers and wings next time.

Our first visit to OTH was for a birthday dinner. The staff cheerfully accepted my day-of request to add three more people to the reservation. When we arrived, our table was tucked into a small alcove, and I feared we would be forgotten about. On the contrary, we had exceptional service the entire time. Our dinners were excellent, too! I recommend the spinach dip appetizer and shrimp & grits entree. The only minor comments from some of my family: (1) some dishes were heavy on garlic, and (2) the staff should provide pricing when sharing information about the specials. (My husband had sticker shock when he saw the price for his steak special.) Overall, great local dining experience, and we’ll be back!

I got the lava shrimp salad, a friend got the lava shrimp appetizer and a side salad. She made out way better than I did. Mine was pretty much all spring mix with a few shrimp on top. The prime rib special was a disappointment as well, the ribeye from the menu was better and cheaper. Server was not very friendly, but was fairly efficient.

Ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer and it was very good. Nice and crispy with great flavor. The old Towne chicken with cheese grits was very good! Only negative about the food was the water tasted like dirt and so did the broccoli. Service was a bit slow but it was Saturday at 630pm. Bar area was very loud!

Had a disappointing experience today. Food was okay but the server was incredibly rude and their menu prices do not match what they charge. The beers were listed in two sections, one being listed as $4.50 for 12 oz, and then the other section were 16 oz beers for $5.50. I chose a beer from the $5.50 list, and when we got our check it was listed as $7.50. I brought it to the attention of the server expecting her to change it to the price that was listed on the menu (there were not any beers anywhere listed that were higher than $5.50). I brought it to her attention, and she dismissed me saying that the price was $7.50. I pointed out that it was clearly listed as 550 and she said because it was a 16 oz beverage. the menu has the 16 oz beverages listed as $5.50, she again, had an attitude, dismissed that, and said “we don’t even give those out”. We were a table of multiple servers and bartenders, and being in the service industry, we know that behavior and service was just not acceptable. disappointing, since the food was pretty good. But can’t recommend a place that treats their customers badly.

Tonight I had the Seafood Alla Vodka. It was absolutely delicious. We love this quaint little spot and dine here quite often.

The atmosphere is great although due to the small venue it gets very loud inside with the echo from close large glass windows in the store front. For some reason the water tasted very strange. I don’t think this was a restersunt issue I believe it was reported that a local water source had some algae in it that was being treated giving the whole area strange tasting water. I’m sure this was a fluke. The presentation and taste of our food was fantastic and you certainly paid for what you received. I believe it was over priced. It was about $42 for filet and $36-38 for the next steak on the menu. The alcoholic beverages lacked the alcohol part especially for the price. I would recommend this place especially because it’s small, locally owned and you can tell they are trying. Now onto the 1 star service. It is obvious that this is a family owned place. The hostess and bus boys were pushing 16yo maybe. Our service originally was the hostess who had a very difficult time taking drink orders then appetizers. It was obvious she was covering for the 1 server for the entire place. It seamed like she showed up to work late because she came to take our dinner order pretty late then didn’t check up on us until we needed the check. She was serving the entire place herself and we got our food from more teenage food runners. This place has lots of growing to do but has the potential to be great

I newly moved to the area and checked out the menu online. I ordered take out, the food was delicious. The second time I ordered take as well; the Grilled Chicken, rice and grilled brussel sprouts. Didn’t get the rice and this is what they served me. Burnt to a crisp! brussel sprout leaves that were not edible. I hate that I didn’t check my order before I left. I was sooo disappointed.
