Came on a short lunch break to order the hearty breakfast. I asked for a small cup of gravy, and instead was given a large and charged $4.00 extra. Fine, whatever. But then I get to opening the food and started to eat. There was some kind of colored something on the bottom of my eggs. I started looking through it more, and found there was alot of this purple color. I called the restaurant and told them. The response was “Oh that must be the paper” and asked for a partial, not even full refund. I was told I could get credits on my next order. I explained that I didn’t want a credit. I was told there was nothing they could do and they’d have the owner call me. Of course, she didn’t. So I ended up with tainted food, no lunch to eat so I was still hungry, and without any kind of refund. Luckily I used the Doordash app to put the order in for pickup, so I contacted them and they gave me a 75% refund. Not going back.

Love it here. Chill atmosphere although it does get fairly busy. Food is good. Especially the pancakes. My girlfriend loves the pancakes and the crispy edges. It just tastes homemade, real butter and delicious syrup. I didn’t take pics of tge pancakes but they have some really delicious flavored mimosas too.

Update: Since the new owner, there’s a new increase in food quality and I appreciate how the owner comes out to talk to the customers. This time we had lunch and it was great! Tuna melt was better than anything I have had in Downtown Sacramento. My husband had the hot pastrami and he loved it. Good portions and great staff. I highly recommend to anyone in the neighborhood to try!

Update 10/19/2019 – Not sure what has happened to the once great service. The last two times I have gone here they are open but there is no person to greet you. Let me clarify, I enter the building and there is literally no one. I can hear someone in the kitchen area but even trying to get their attention is impossible. Both times after a 5 minutes of waiting we left for other breakfast options. You might want to consider some type of a door chime hard to imagine you can throw away business.
