The fish log is absolutely delicious. For 10 bucks you get two sides, half a fish log, and two slices of bread. Fish was lightly battered, Mac and cheese was super creamy, and the hot slaw was amazing. The hot slaw was mixed with vinegar and sugar and topped with bacon bits. The place was super cozy and it reminded me of eating at my grandparents house. Everyone was super friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious fish dinner.

Everything is pretty good and generously portioned. The Fish Log is what they’re known for but their chili and sandwiches are also really good. It reminds me of your grandpas bar, even has a couple lazy boy recliners.

This place has the absolute best fish log in town and hot bacon slaw all homemade a special season batter for the fish log the decor is antique items all around it is a Hidden Gem that many do not know about I highly recommend this amazing old-time Eatery. The owner also made a very good beef stew with vegetables.

I’ve never had a better burger in my life. I just wish they were open during the weekend because it’s 45 minutes away from where I live so it’s hard to get there during the week. The food is to die for, and the atmosphere of a small place is even better. Seeing the historic on the inside was breathtaking

I really wanted to like this place. I liked the people and the vibe. But… That fish log was DRY. I can’t imagine how to dry out fish that badly without extensive use of heat lamps or microwaves. My wife couldn’t even choke hers down, and went back out for fish from somewhere else. That was a waste of $30. Really disappointing… I’ll stick to Lake Nina from now on.

Very relaxed atmosphere that hasn’t been updated in 30 years. Clean. Owned by a cantankarous 86 year old who puts out good food, many times by himself. Service occasionally assisted by regulars when it gets busy. Recommend fish log with onion rings and hot slaw.

Really friendly people and pretty good food. There’s a lot of history at the Old Timber Inn. Supposedly Jesse James’s gang stayed here back when it was an inn, and there’s an old photo to prove it. Try one of the legendary Fish Logs! I’ve been curious about this place since I was a kid, and wasn’t disappointed.
