Had dim sum dinner on a Sunday late afternoon (4ish) and there were plenty of tables available. This place is quite sizable and they even have two large private glassed window rooms big enough for 10+ people! Each dim sum dish was about $6 and up and they were all hot and tasty. We shall come back for the hot pot!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a new restaurant in New Haven, and I must say, the food was excellent. The prices for both the dim sum and hot pot were very reasonable, making it a great value overall. Among the restaurants we’ve tried in the area, this one stands out as our favorite.

4.5 stars: Visited Old Street for dim sum today, and was overall satisfied. We got our usual dim sum favorites (har kow, sticky rice, siu mai, spare ribs with black beans, chicken feet – ok that’s mine), except they were not able to make beef cheung fun (rice noodle roll with beef) bc they were out of beef?! We were there when they opened so hopefully they will get some beef next door! The food we ordered is on par with what I’ve had in Chinatown. I especially liked their chives and shrimp dumpling. For those who like the sweetened soy sauce that go over the cheung fun, you may want to ask for sugar. I suspect that is the secret ingredient in Chinatown. Next time I will visit their sauce bar!

I’m an LA-native, who grew up surrounded by dim sum. The food here is absolutely delicious and verifiably authentic. Beats having to drive all the way to New York, and it’s better than the dim sum in New Haven. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for delicious authentic Dim Sum, this is your spot. Having been used to great Dim Sum in NYC and Toronto, living in CT, this is the first place that finally does it really well. Chicken feet, tripe, beef balls, soup dumplings, shrimp and chive… all terrific. The restaurant is new and clean, ordering is done on ipads and the waitstaff are quick and attentive. Can’t wait to go back for more and to try the hot pot!

If you’re in Milford Connecticut and wants to try dim sum and hotpot you must try the first dim sum restaurant in Ct! It won’t disappoint! The pork bone broth is good for hotpot! It’s good for kids not too salty. The server are good! The place is spacious and soft music is suitable for family with kids ! The hotpot is inside and there’s button to press to get the ingredients scoop out from the soup! It’s cool! I’ve been to so many hotpot all over Asia I never seen this technology! I do enjoy the all you can eat! Good portion! My son is really picky and he enjoys the food too! I like the xiao long bao too dip in rhe vinegar!! They are from New York they know what they are doing! I’m glad I went and tried despite the mixed negative reviews!

This spot has so much potential and it was disappointing to see that they’re just not quite there yet. The interior is beautifully designed and you can tell they put a lot of thought into the place. The hot pot tables are high quality. Overall great restaurant.

Today I went with family members to try Old Street Dim Sum in the Milford Plaza for the first time. It is located next to a Dollar Tree Store. We heard about this new dim sum and hot pot restaurant after it was featured on yesterday’s evening news. I am glad I watched the news about it since I live an hour away and otherwise, would not know about this place.
