Old fashion good eating

I’ve eaten here several times in the past year. Lately the food is just okay. Nothing is impressive. Last week we came in and my fiance got chicken pie with cabbage and stewed potatoes. She had me try it because she thought her taste buds were off. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Chicken pie was sweet tasting, meaning it had sugar in it, but it also tasted scorched. The cabbage had a chemical taste like maybe it had sat in a can too long before use or something. I had a salad, but again, it wasn’t anything to brag about. Service was sad. I had to wait to get a refill on water, and I had actually already started drinking out of my fiance’s before they noticed I had two cups on my side of the table. This was on a Wednesday at lunch so it’s not like it was a weekend rush. I really wish things had been better because I do usually enjoy the food. Lately though it has been bad.

This place had great service, the food was delicious. Not crowded at all and could sit right down. The waitress checked on us several times. Fast was done fast with little wait. Bathrooms were clean. I would highly recommend stopping by this place if you’re in the area.

Got the chicken stew, it was some chicken in milk and butter, absolutely awful. Server was attentive and tried to make it right but owner was not willing to allow me to swap for another item despite barely taking 1 bite. The server with the red hair will be the only reason I return, if I ever go back. Due to owner policy and treatment I don’t foresee the establishment lasting. The owner needs a lesson in the hospitality/service industry.

We go during lunch at least one time a week. Unfortunately they only have one good waitress. The others just do the bare minimum. The food is hit and miss. They have a great fried bologna and cheese sandwich but their meatloaf was horrible the last time I got it and the salmon patties were too. They both had way too much flour in them.

The stage coach burger x2! Two 8oz hand crafted protein patties on a bun! Only thing added to mine was lettuce and tomato. It was truly a 5 star burger. Family friendly atmosphere also. Hope was very helpful And friendly. Thank you Chef @oldstagegrill #hamburger

Update 7/26: The usual waitress was not here and the two working was struggling with the lunch crowd. Cabbage was not good and the chicken pie was not worth eating. It has seemed they keep going downhill.
