Everyone was super friendly. The bbq sauce is really good. Most of the food was good except the brisket was really dry. Liked the ribs and the side dishes they had. They have a pretty big menu selection posted on their wall. Noticed a lot of regulars frequenting this establishment.

My Ribs were very good. LOVED the Potato Salad!!! I’ve never had a hot potato salad before…but it was great! Mac and Cheese was pretty basic and could use a little extra something. But all in all the food was great and the staff were very friendly!!! Will definitely stop again on my next visit to Russellville!

The ribs were good but not great. The rub was a little too sweet for me. They could have used a little more smoke flavor. They also drizzled some sauce on them which I don’t like. I think good barbecue should stand on it’s own. If I want to add sauce that’s fine but the meat should be able to stand on it’s own merit.

Each time I order the Polish sausage, it gets worse and worse. I ordered it yesterday and it was inedible. Lots of gristle and weird parts in it. It was also covered in some sauce which it’s never been before, probably to drown out the weird parts inside. I used to order it once a week to get my fix, because it used to be so fantastic I craved it! I’ll not be ordering it again.

walked in at 7:30 on 8/20/20 and one of the first things we were told was “we close in 30 minutes” confused by that statement I asked “but we still have time to order & eat, correct?” The employee said yes and we ordered our food and sat down. While waiting for our food we heard the phone ringing, ringing, and yet continuing to ring… the phone has a feature that says who is calling and it was the same person calling repeatedly. I overheard one of the employees saying we don’t answer the phone after 7:30 because by the time they get here we are all locked up (they close at 8). Shocked that a business would refuse money much less let customers hear that comment. After that two men & a child walked in at 7:40 & again the employee let them know that they close in twenty minutes but that they could order something to go. Our food then arrived, excited to try it because my boyfriend is a Russellville native and bragged about how good the food & service was. The food was lukewarm and essentially glorified microwaved leftovers. We left disappointed, and will not return.

**Update** Ordered via bitesquad yesterday for lunch and we couldn’t have been happier. Best beef brisket BBQ sandwich we have had in a very long time. Got 3 meals (sandwich and 2 sides) for less than $30 which is a great value!

I live about an hour from Old Post BBQ in Russellville. Anytime I’m traveling past there on I-40, I always make time to stop by and grab some of their great food. The location is small but that doesn’t matter, the people are friendly and the food is always amazing. They offer dine-in, drive thru, and catering services. My favorite is the pulled pork with their hot sauce.

I always enjoy trying a new BBQ place in town, but I made the mistake of trying Old Post. Upon entering the restaurant, the lady behind the counter seemed rude, stuck-up and annoyed at the fact that it was my first time eating here. I asked for a menu upon ordering and she rudely pointed to the stack of menus on the other side of the bar. After I received my food, I was not once checked on by any member of the wait staff. While eating, an employee came out to one of the drink coolers to get a drink for herself. We suddenly locked eyes and she gave me an extremely rude look. The food was ok, but not as good as the other BBQ places in the area. In all, if you want tasteful BBQ with exceptional service and friendly people, I would try Fat Daddy’s downtown.
