I enjoyed Old House. It was authentic TX BBQ with good flavor. I had the 2 meat sandwich special w/2 sides. I also added 3 pork ribs and had green beans and Caesar salad for my 2 sides. My favorite meats were the 1) pork ribs followed by the 2) jalapeno sausage. The 2 meats I selected for my sandwich were brisket and jalapeno sausage. The brisket was just OK. Not much of a bark or smoke/seasoning flavor as I prefer for a “craft” BBQ brisket. It seems they maybe rushed the cook a bit and didn’t follow the tried and true “low & slow” 225 method? Or give it much rub? But it was still legit and worth checking out! They had 3 different kinds of sauce to try if you wanted. Regular, spicy and smoky. I’m not a huge sauce guy but I still like to check it all out. They were good but honestly, I could not taste much difference between them. They also had a nice condiment station with all of the typical accoutrements which is good! I always like to have some white onions with my Q and a few jalapenos and pickles are always nice too! As for the sides, the green beans were good but just very standard canned and heated variety. The Cesar salad was excellent!! It had what tasted like a home-made dressing and was surprisingly good for a BBQ joint!

Just ok. The roll was the best part. Just look at the picture you can see how dry the brisket is, it didn’t have any smoke flavor, also notice no smoke ring. Jalapeño sausage wasn’t bad. The place was empty at 6pm on Friday night, not a good sign. Decor and ambience were weird. Bathroom needs to be blown up and redone, old and of ill repair. Being asked for a tip just for going through the line is rude. Tip for what?

My son invited me to lunch and this boy can eat so I knew I was in for a treat. Old House BBQ does not disappoint!

This is a traditional Texan BBQ restaurant located just off the freeway. Seating available both inside or outdoors. The menu consists in a protein which could be brisket, ribs or sausage and then you build your own plate through the line with as many sides as you want. The food was good and the service was friendly. This experience was more like a quick service restaurant than a dine in.

The food is delicious and the portions are generous, you definitely get your moneys worth. We love coming on Sundays because kids eat free and on Mondays they have pulled pork sandwiches for $4.99. Great prices and great food.

Our favorite BBQ place. Not fancy, just great food and good people. My favorite is the pulled pork, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, it’s all good.

I’ve ate at Old House many times in Lewisville and the best part about this little hole in the wall is consistency! Never once have I had an issue and it tastes the same and GREAT every time. If you haven’t been here you need to.

Great food. BBQ is awesome here and is top-of-the-line brisket you will not find anywhere else. They’ve done some remodeling to the inside and it looks much cleaner and nicer. The food again is absolutely excellent they have restrooms and you can get food to go or place large orders to be picked up for catering for a business meeting or a picnic or even going to the lake. This is a great BBQ right off the highway for travelers. Fast service. Friendly service.

I love the sliced brisket. A bit pricy but worth the money. Get take out at least twice a month or more

Pretty darn good. Actually better than expected. Protein was delicious but the side – not anything to write home to Momma about. Prices were about what you would expect.
