Food was very good. I had the chicken dinner (chicken, balsamic glaze, mozzarella and tomato), which was great. Husband had a rare hamburger which he said was cooked perfect.

They have some very good food here, especially their Mexican Pizza. Their French Dip sandwiches are also highly recommended. The staff is friendly. It can get pretty noisy sometimes but it’s a good place for a reasonably priced meal.

Great place for burger and fries! Had an awesome chocolate martini or two ♀️. Our waiter waitress was awesome. Ambiance was warm and cozy. We started with the nachos and wings and they were perfect. Also had the grilled cheese, and it was perfect. Ended with cheese cake that was amazing!!!!

I stop by for drinks . Very quiet place, comparing to others bars. Just surprised me it’s close early ( 10 pm) . Food was normal, i can’t say something extravagantly. And a lot of choices of meat. If you want just take a bite and talk ,this place for you.

Went by Foodies recommendation, great extensive menu, sat at the bar friendly efficient service. My wings were very good but a little dry. Husband had the big burrito which definitely lived up to its name, delicious. I enjoyed my pilot grigio as well as my husband his bud light on tap. I ordered the $9 Cuervo margarita after 2 wines but requested just fresh squeezed lime instead of the sugary lime juice, all good with the barmaid, but I got a very sugary drink . Asked again for a remake, got my request but was charged $13. Excuse was had to add more booze to fill up the glass. We decided not to go back.

Wish i could rate this better, but our waitress is terrible. we are here right now and our waitress has completely disregarded us to the point where we have been here for over an hour and only got appetizers. She has serviced other tables right next to us but not checked up on us for drinks or anything. A food runner took our dirty plates instead of her. I had to walk up to the bar from my table myself because she was not coming to check if we had empty drinks (we all did have empty drinks). I’ve been here before so i’m not sure what’s happening tonight, it’s not even busy here and our waitress has gone to every table more than ours for whatever reason. Honestly so disappointed in this service. Sorry.

I am far from a restaurant connoisseur nor do I leave reviews on any establishment regularly. But I have to say the food and drinks are top notch and they serve one of the best French dip sandwiches I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had quite a few in my time, at quite a few different restaurants on Long Island. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to look at some of the reviews for this particular establishment And I found quite a few people who had choice words to say about a business they’ve probably never owned or personally run themselves and about a profession they’ve probably never worked in themselves meaning being a restaurant owner and/or a waiter or waitress but they have plenty to say about it. One review says about how it needs to be updated, well I don’t know if you’ve noticed the name of the place but it’s the old city Public House not the new city Public House, it’s rustic and charming. Another reviewer made comments about the “older woman” waitress who works there and how she has “no personality” I will agree that she’s a little rough around the edges but she is a pissa and I don’t know too many waitresses that can handle an entire restaurant by herself and seemingly pay attention to all the tables that she’s serving so she means business and I guess that could be misconstrued as “grumpy”, said in another review. If you’re looking for really good food and a rustic charming atmosphere with a no nonsense waitress who’s going to get your order correct and make sure that you have everything you need throughout your dining experience then this is the place.

Horrible Manager. Would not give separate checks when requested coming from my sisters wake grieving distraught and was told it was easier for them not the CUSTOMER. we didn’t matter we nicely asked to please make an exception ( where do you go in any professional establishment That would deny that). We were told rudely to leave then with a mocking bye bye. We were siting already and stayed to split check ten ways ourselves. And Food Horrible. Bathrooms disgusting. Save your money
